So a bit negative, a bit positive LOL I'm still a sexy beast despite being a bit broken and having been signed off again by my GP... This time she told me to just do whatever I feel like since doing all the right stuff hasn't helped much so I was thinking bungee... LOL yeah, like f'sure... NOT!
Cya!

Bit of negative and positive sounds like a well balanced approach.
Hope you feel better soon

Happy birthday Puzz
Sorry work and MRI haven't gone well MB. I got a similar reaction when I returned to work. The not-so-nice reactions did pull some odd faces at those who were lovely though which amused meYou've kind of put my silliness into perspective too, I was all grumpy and down about something so trivial and here's you posting something upbeat with a virtually broken back!
Thanks for the kind words everyone. Woken up in a much better mood (for now) probably won't be lasting as today I'm going to a funeral. A wonderful lady who was a huge part of my childhood and a major pillar of the village community I grew up in
Back to work tomorrow (only for 6 days and I get a weekend in the middle) then another 12 days off culminating in a posh wedding of a lovely friend and then it'll be payday again and I'll be off to see those dinosaurs
Money management seems to be going much better this month - may have finally cracked it! And after all that pathetic whining I'm a bit miffed that none of my auctions have bids yet! :rotfl: there's just no pleasing me

Hey everyone, it's great to see so much support in this thread! Hope everyone is feeling optimistic today - I am!
I've managed to send off all my documents to SC yesterday, and wondered what I should do now? Should I phone them and check what the status is or wait to hear from them? Should I phone my creditors and tell them I've entered in to a dmp with sc? Any advice would be amazing! Thanks!0 -
Just wrote a long post. Computer ate it. grump. Nothing of any wisdom or value clearly! Hello all. Mr Monkey, I am pretty sure bungeeing is not recommended from slightly broken chimps. Puzz Happy Birthday, enjoy! And Kate you sound like you have a firm grip on it all at the moment! Great stuff.

Morning Everyone. Hope you are all having a good day and Happy Birthday to those whose Birthday it is.Hope you all have a fantastic day. Thank you so much for the advice Sazzie 23. I will have a look at the CAB site and decide what to do from there as am getting very confused with all this, I've had a message from Payplan asking me to call them to discuss the situation further and am waiting for Stepchange to send me forms to fill in should I choose to go with them. I also had a look at the My Money Steps site last night and filled in the details on that form. Its very confusing though as even though I'm putting the same information in about my debts I keep getting different figures from each of the sites re how much I should be repaying!!!!! Am not sure why that should be surely if I am putting the same information in the results I get should be the same!!!!
Also my laptop suffered a slight accident last night and so I am going to try and see if I can get it repaired or replaced as it is still under guarantee. I also feel very tired this morning but need to get myself together and get some groceries and also raid the dregs of my savings account for the last £20 to live on as I really do not want to apply for another Payday loan if I can possibly avoid it!!!!! Have a good day everyonexxxxloobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0 -
Happy birthday Puzz. I made you a cake:bdaycake:
Happy belated birthday maganan, here's one for you too:bdaycake:
Kate, hope you are feeling a bit better about selling your precious things.
MB sorry to hear of the work woes and the back problems. Good to hear you are still a sexy beast though!
Hello to any newbies and lurkers:wave:
Well it isn't good news about the car. One of the brake calipers has seized up and man in the garage isn't sure whether he can fix it or whether it will need a new one until he looks at it. Plus and I quote here what OH said 'the gridlines have worn away on the headlights and we need two new ones. They're about £50 each.'  It's a new one on me. I'm wondering if he is having us on.
Oh and I spoke to soon regarding creditors accepting our drop in payment. Aktiv Kapitol who have taken over our Virgin CC accounts have written to say they aren't happy. So I am planning to take some time off work towards the end of the week just so I can phone up all my creditors just to check they are all OK with the reduced payments. Happy days.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Meal plan Lou! If you know how many days and how many meals you can write a list. If you can plan around one basic ingredient (for example pasta) you can just get other bits to fit around it so there's a little variety. Then go to aldi or lidl and you're set. Alternatively go to the bigger supermarkets in the early evening and grab the yellow stickers
Pre-DMP when I still did the grocery shopping (DH does it now) I could make £50-60 stretch over a week like this for 6 of us. The old style boards have some brilliant ideas if you need some inspiration.
PDLs are the hounds of hell! Some of us here have used them in the past so you'll find no judgement here (this is one of the few threads where you get a lot of understanding) but please avoid them at all costs. I've been on the verge of resorting to them again but posting here helped me avoid it. There has to be a way to avoid them. Okay, so it might be dull as dishwater to eat pasta for the next week but I promise that the relief of getting through the week will be worth it.
hunt around the car, back of the sofa etc for cash (those pennies soon add up) use up every packet in the cupboards, fridge and freezer and you'll get through. Value brands aren't that bad. You can do it without dealing with the devil.
