Not quite true. If you already have a card it will automatically carry on working as "Freesat from Sky" the cost is only when you don't have a card at all. Ie you buy an old box from fleabay.

    even better! :)

Got it - thank you. Trying to work out if I can face this again. However I have reduced to token payments and written to all creditors so wait and see what happens first - whether they apply charges etc and then pick it up from there I think....

Well 6 months in and hit a wobble.....Halifax request 6 month reviews....Stepchange reissued documentation on Friday, received letter yesterday from Stepchange and informed me Halifax have rejected their offer as they have queried budget but nothing has changed Since first review? I decided to speak with Halifax directly and they told me account is frozen for 7 days and nothing from Stepchange has been received? Confused now as letter clearly states rejected from Stepchange?

I have sent my letter off to Halifax today to ask them to reconsider freezing interest . They haven't defaulted me yet and I have been on DMP for 2 years now.
    Oh well worth a try!!

Just spoken with Halifax and Step Change again, Halifax insist last communication with Step Change was 4th December and that 6 month plan is coming to an end. Halifax said I rang them 20th May for end of plan date and letter from Step Change is dated 21st May to inform me that Halifax rejected offer as they were querying budget but wouldn't specify ...seem's to quick for me. Halifax have asked for resend of documentation and will look into it but good chance of rejection as the contractual payment is now near what Step Change offer so good knows what will happen. Feeling stressed yet again!

Halifax were always my worst creditor to deal with and the only one not to stop all interest and charges. I had four accounts with them, paid off three only one to go now.

Bit random but I see some of you have a 'DMP Mutual Support' member number in your signatures - do these still exist?
