Hi all - been a bit quiet on the forum after a friend died suddenly a couple of weeks ago.
Hope you are all well and knocking down those debts. BC now on token payments - no backlash yet but no sign of a default either. Have taken on another job (no 6) but no5 goes shortly so there should only be 3 weeks of overlap. I am a bit daunted but may be able to offer a F&F if I can pull it off so feeling the motivation! Will update my sig in a minute.
Sorry to hear about your friend. Great news about another job, do you do them all in one day? :eek:Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

Money Dashboard (I also got cashback through TopCashback even though it is a free service!)
It links to your bank account and you can tag all transactions. You can also add in recurring payments for the future.
I know there is a budgeting tool used by a few people here but you only get a free trial and then have to purchase so this may be a useful alternative.
I had my Credit Union loan take the DD payment from me and claim that SC hadn't been in touch! I thought I had cancelled the DD but it hadn't went through. Thankfully I reclaimed the money and SC have confirmed who they have spoken to as well as the address they have sent a cheque to so we will see how this pans out!

Good morning all, long time no speak. Welcome newbies, you can do it.
Good news for me, I've been squirrelling away at saving and quietly paying my dmp. I'm now 88% paid off.
I'm hoping a couple of months and it will all be gone...LBM: NOVEMBER 2011 || debt free date:30/06/15 || The Fighting Debt Army: #442 || Frugal Living Challenge 2018 || January 2018 Grocery £1.22/£100 ||0 -

Any advice gratefully received , i have a credit card with a balance of £5200 they have agreed my payment with stepchange and have lowered the intrest slightly but when I have received my statement for every £47.47 I'm paying they are putting intrest of almost £38.00 on. So I am never ever going to be able to pay this debt off. I did write to them but the just said we have lowered it and that's the best we can do ? Should I try again ?0

Your best bet is to complain to the fos, you can do it online or by telephone.

StepChange payment dates.
Just got my Halifax CC bill.
The bill states they received payment to them on the 15th April, and then 8th May.
Basically two payments in one month.
On this statement, they expect next payment on 4th June. So if stepchange get the payment to them the same time as the last payment they will of course be late...
My Minimum payment is only £5 on this card now, so I plan just to pay this next week, so they have received payment for that month statement, and then the payment a few days later will service the next statement.
Its something to watch out for people...0
