Hmmm....my DMP was running smoothly until now. I received a letter this morning that my L!ttlewoods debt has been sold onto Arrow Global. I phoned SC gave them the new details etc.

I've read some awful things about Arrow making people bankrupt over debts of £850! Should I be worried about this shower?

I've never had any problems with my debts being passed over to a DCA, things just carried on the same but I've not had to deal with Arrow Global so can't comment on them specifically. I think as long as you keep up your repayments you should be OK.

Ditto for me. I have one of my debts with Arrow Global and short of changing my payment details with them, I have noticed no difference at all with my DMP!

People! It's happened. I don't know if the reply was a reply to my first letter as I sent it to 3 recipients, or if it was a super quick response to my letter sent on Monday, but......

LLOYDS BANK LOAN IS NOW INTEREST FREEEEEEE!!!!! BOOOOM!!

Right letter they've sent me. It' getting laminated. Debt to be sent to recoveries. Default applied and back dated to January. All interest since January refunded (latest applied today funnily enough), and formal confirmation to be sent from recoveries next week.

Oh, and they are going to refund my call charges for the awful 1 hour call and give me £50 for upsetting me when I ring the guy to accept said token gesture.

Lock stock and barrel. This means if they don't default the CC and OD I can use the thing about debt from one creditor being treat the same to get actual defaults ha!! Will only be BC that haven't in the next few months at this rate.

All is good in my DMP world right now. Keep up all your own good work out there. You've all helped me out so much and I'll endeavor to do the same!

Congrats Neil! Been following your saga for a while (though have a week of posts to catch up on). Glad to hear of such a huge victory after a gruelling battle.

Got my first scary letter today! Natwest demanding payment in full of my overdraft by Tuesday or they could take action. I think I remember reading about these. I can just send the standard "I'll continue to pay my DMP, this is my Stepchange reference" letter right? I think I already know the answer, but reassurance is nice. :)

Thank you, and yes, it's all standard stuff I think. If you got this a few months after the DMP after accepting it I'm not sure though. I think Lloyds OD could go down that route but that they will just end up agreeing to continued payment. All they will do is default you or sell the debt if they remain unhappy. Others will advise / reassure you better :o

My first payment was 1st March so I'm still in the early stages. Hopefully this kind of thing is normal at this stage.

Mine too, but I did token payments for 3 months. They got the SC correspondence nearly 2 months before payment so all settled down before hand. Just advise them they should have heard from SC with your ref and payment amount. All good. Really it is...

Thank you for putting my mind at rest about my first DCA! I really appreciate it. :)

Things were really quiet on the DMP front until now. As long as I keep paying then things will be Ok. I've already paid more off than I ever would have in the "bad old days".

I got the exact same letter regarding my overdraft and loan with Natwest last week. It was really scary! I rang the number provided and told them I'm with SC and they said not to worry and that it is an automatic letter generated when the debt is passed to the recoveries team. No action needed. They were really nice and the phone call lasted less than 5 minutes.
