    Hello everyone.
I have been reading this thread daily for quite sometime getting up the nerve to introduce myself and post all the paperwork to stepchange to commence my dmp.
I don't know why it has taken me so long to start as the sooner the better but hey ho...ive sent the paperwork...deep breath.
I've been struggling with the debt for a while and I cant see my situation changing any time soon. So here I go..feel a bit sick if I honest...hoping it will pass soon.
Anyway oh is feeling a lot less pressure as hes the only earner in the house along with the 4 kids..busy house!
You all are an inspiration, thank you.

  • Just thought I'd pop back on to say hi to everybody!

No real reason to post other than to say everything is very quiet and calm in the Squirrel nut house atm!

The only action has been a letter from Aqua saying thanks for making the monthly stepchange payments, but they regret to inform me that they will have to default the account in the near future anyway ( :D )

Also my Lloyds loan and CC have both disappeared from Internet Banking and I have had a letter from Lloyds Collections saying that they have taken over the CC account and are keeping the repayment plan the same.. so looks like those two are inching slowly towards default too.

On the note of defaults, as things stand none of my creditors have defaulted any of the accounts - not even the payday lenders! It is now 5 months since I first made lower payments, so hopefully there will be a flurry around the 6 month mark...

hello... yep the lull does sometimes come and I do indeed get dmp fatigue - helpfully it's generally interrupted by milestones, or less helpfully by a crisis which them gets resolved (and up goes the dmp rollercoaster once again!) and by trying to get creditors to stop interest/ repay fees etc... but yep, there are definitely moments when it all feels a bit never ending.
Reading the forum thread helps definitely. Keep trucking on!

12 months in and first debt over to a DCA. Santander overdraft basically going to Wescot Credit Services. Santander were first to default so can't complain. Shame Barclaycard can't do the same.

Re Lloyds. Were your agreements agreed for 6 months? and where the 6 month periods coming to an end? Is interest frozen on both your CC and loan?

    Thanks in advance :)

Hellifax finally responded to our complaint letter today and they have agreed to immediately default OD:j:j Formal default paperwork will be sent shortly.

That will be 2 formal defaults - we are getting there :)

With regards to Hellifax it's just our individual loans to be sorted now. They will contact us separately for that:D

    Hi Neil,

Interest is frozen on both (and on my Lloyds overdraft).

No end dates given for either agreements.

For the CC, the latest letter says its a temporary concession but as long as I continue to make the repayments interest/charges are waived.

For the Loan, i havent been sent confirmation of the DMP repayments in writing. I have been sent default notices though (but no default as of yet)

    cheers

Hi, thanks. Mixed bag then. Getting shafted with interest on the loan but seems more of you aren't so I'll take hope from that.
