EE to PlusNet - can I keep router?

I have been with EE for a year and I am planning to move to PlusNet as there is a good topcashback offer.

Does anyone know if the EE broadband router is compatible with Plusnet and importnatly do I have to change any settings?

Thank you

The router was your property from day one of the contract. Unless it's locked to EE, then yes, you should be abe to use it. You'll have to enter the correct settings for your PN account though.
If not, the PN router is free anyway, although they charge about a fiver for delivery.

Does anyone know if the router is locked to EE?
I'm just not in the mood to deal with EE direct.

Don't think you'll have too much problem searching for the unlocking solution!!

Don't know if EE/HORRANGE have changed policy but they used to want the routers back........having said that, I still have my HORRANGE Livebox waiting for the prepaid Jiffy bag ...after 6 years :rotfl:

My EE Brightbox worked with my new provider (TalkTalk) without any changes. It was actually not that easy to know whether my line had changed over or not! That makes it more likely the box will continue to work, but no guarantee.

When I left EE back in March nobody mentioned returning the wireless router at all so I guess they've changed that policy.

Why don't you want to use PlusNet's box?

I have the PlusNet Technicolor modem/router, and it's pretty good, despite being tiny and without external aerials.
