i had a quick look around the site, T+C, FAQ etc. and no where mentions about vouchers......and you won't be handled the goodies straight after the the test....you'll be given an unique code to text or enter on the website after you've had (i think) both free contact and eye test assessments

then the only email i've received from them is a standard acknowledgment that i will be contacted to confirm appointment...nowhere does it state about vouchers :(

guardianangel : think you were just unlucky to have someone who were unfriendly

the man said when you fill out the form for your free eye test and contact lens test there should be 2 vouchers there to print off!!!
i didnt see them!!!
Has anyone found these vouchers??

My daughter had the exact same problem, except she wasn't asked for these "vouchers" until she arrived for her appointment. I have emailed contactus@danda.co.uk on their website to ask about these vouchers, I'll let you know if they reply .. ..

Exactly! I don't see the point of offering all these promotional freebies if nobody in store is aware of them!

Second email:
Thank you for your email.

I have spoken to the branches in question, and with our commercial department who are organising the promotion, and we are taking steps to ensure these branches are fully briefed on this offer.

We again apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

My eldest booked an appointment for this morning at our local D&A so we'll see...

I'd suggest anyone with the same problem just email contactus@danda.co.uk with your telephone number and the branch you wish to visit, and let them arrange the callback once they have made sure the branch is fully aware of the offer.

I'm wondering if this offer is valid for people who are on benefits?

Feedback from appointment today:

Firstly, when she turned up they still hadn't heard of this deal, despite those emails I've sent/received but they gave her the free trial anyway.

She needed stronger lenses for her glasses, she was charged £160 for these and has to wait 2 weeks for them to be delivered to the store, they refused to give a copy of her prescription. I later checked with Vision Express (our usual optician), her old lenses cost £75 on "express service" (they were fitted in less than an hour).

She didn't get the promotional code either, because they hadn't even heard of the deal.

So, unless you plan on purchasing overpriced lenses or contacts you'll be wasting your time. You may as well pay for everything in a reasonably priced opticians.

i emailed them the second time (as the first time they ignored it  ) and i got a reply few hours later:

Thank you for your email

which is as good as what candyflossing got from them

then few hours later the D&A branch that I had already booked for this Saturday @ Woolwich called me up and said they have been informed of this offer (as they weren't before) and she said it's an Accuve offer  ....i asked whether i needed vouchers or any proof for my free eye test, free contacts trial and beauty kit and she said no as long as on the day i inform them before i have my tests about this offer....i also took her name for reference so i shall see what happens when i visit them on saturday!

i also asked her if my bf can make use of this and she said its only open to 16-21 girls....shame because my bf is quite on the feminine side except hes bit hairy :p

i'm not planning to buy glasses or contacts from them....i just need to know how short sighted i am so i can buy it elsewhere cheaper! plus i want the beauty kit :o

anyways if all goes well i think it's worth it eventhough the process is long

if you're willing to go through the long process then do as candyflossing says and email contactus@danda.co.uk

in the email to them i just explained the situation that my branch didnt know about this offer, left them my name, which D&A branch, appointment time/date and branch telephone number as well as my mobile number

thanks candyflossing and x-Princess-Vikki-x :D

I personally think it's complete rubbish. My daughters' friends all had the exact same problem.

Hopefully when my daughter goes in to collect her ovepriced lenses they will have this voucher code.

Like I said, they won't give you your prescription, and they won't give you the code, so unless you plan on wasting your money, you're wasting your time.
