Tenerife , nice parts?

I'm looking to go to tenerife in july , my daughter is repping with TC in Playa De Las Americas , so we are looking for somewhere that is not noisy , as a rule a package deal , crowded beaches , rowdy bars etc is my idea of hell ,so if anyone can recommend anywhere near that is reasonably peaceful that would be great

Further west Los Gigantes, but its a 40 mins on the bus.
But the scenery beats anywhere else on the coast and certainly no noisy crowds, few beaches.
  • I second Los Gigantes - have been to Tenerife several times and it's my favourite place by far

Try Los Cristianos, walkable to Los Americas, nicer, prettier and more quiet.

Sorry disagree , they have merged into one.
I walked from Costa Adeje to Los Cristianos ( and back ) on Easter Sat,it was all very similar.

so did we last autumn; Los Cristianos is not wall-to-wall English beer-and-football bars like most of Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas seems to be.
Whatever, I'd also go for Los Gigantes, we had quite a civilised lunch there.

Playa de la arena was nice when we went a couple of years ago.

I third Los Gigantes, a really nice laid-back town mercifully free of some of the riff-raff that Tenerife can sometimes attract.
No loud clubs but some great bars and restaurants, a wonderful local swimming pool with an excellent restaurant attached and generally just a pleasant area.
I'd suggest a small apartment - there's plenty to choose from.
  • I didn't like Los Gigantes. Nothing there! I love Tenerife. Been quite a few times. Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos for me - plenty of places to walk etc and Playa de las Americas out of season is lovely.
