    Wow YB- you're doing great!

I am trying to save £40k for a deposit on a house and even though I have £8k in the bank, I bet you'll get to your target of a second property before I reach £40k!

See you on the savings boards very soon ;)
    £20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**

Nice to see you are still focused on the end-game.

I was hoping to work this weekend, but the company owner put his foot down as apparrently being that I am an agency worker, I cost to much money'.

The end-game is a long time away i reckon itl take 3 years(although possible in less, will build up savings along side it for next property and leave the 0%!)

That sucks, no chance of them employing you?

£40k doesnt sound alot when my debt is just shy of that!! Cracking on i reckon the debt free date will come a month or two before buy another property as im going to leave the 0% as late as possible and save along side it! Good luck with your savings, keep me updated!! Hopefully wont keep you waiting too long over there ;)

In the 4 months since i started this, £3,600 is off the debts and a wee fund of £2,500 put aside for court costs at the end of the year! So £5,100 put to good use since start of June. I admit its time to knuckle down over winter and live as frugal as possible!! No more 3 figure sums spent on nights out anyway!!

Every time a permanent contract is mentioned, the reply is always that it is in hand.

  • Ahhh typical, isnt it?

Thought id check in after an alcohol free weekend where iv worked 10 hours overtime and had a spring clean of the house. Feels good but absolute shattered, in bed as i type this now. 7 oclock start tomorrow, need to work at this emergency fund, feels way too low. Been doing some browsing round these forums and Mr Money Mustache forums aswel, some quality reading. It always gets me really motivated to get my finger out and do well.

Winter is coming round fast which means court is aswel, all the more reasons to get my head down and work through it. Dreading court more incase im in local papers as opposed to having a fine etc to pay or CS to do(that would be a nightmare alongside 70 hour weeks!!!)

But il cross that bridge when i come to it, got 5/6 weeks graft to get through before then. Hope everyones had a productive but fragal weekend aswel :D Fingers crossed this is a good week.....

 How weird. Saw your post on the Millionaire's thread, thought about MMM and that you would like it, came over here to suggest you take a look and you've just mentioned it .

There are some really motivational stories on there and you have a good income........ after this debt is paid off I challenge you to really go for it. I reckon you could be retired by 35 :T. 10 years to grow your 'tache :D.

Itl take me more than 12 years im sure, as life tends to get in the way. Im hammering through a plan just now to get debt free as quickly as possible. Imagine if my repayments were infact savings  Im away to start a 50% income to debt/10% to emergency fund/40% to expenses budget. This should see me well on my way to debt free by the end of 2015. Court dates are coming round fast, £400 deposit paid to solicitor this morning, will know just before Christmas what the outcome is.....so if i dont post on Xmas eve you will know, they have locked me up :( Although confident it wont come to that!!!

Living as frugal as possible right now, every penny a prisoner, just cant get any work done today due to weather, looks like tomorrow will be a write off aswel!! Will have to work flat out next week! With a weather depending job and not a great amount of money behind me, cant wait for this winter to be through so i can start whacking in the overtime again and get my debt repayments down from £1,700 a month to <<£1,000 a month end of 2015 with the amount owed down about £17-20k :money: Thanks for all the pms i have been getting, tremendous support from this diary!!!!

Well with a 60% /repayment/savings rate they soon will be :T:T:T.

Good luck and I'm sure you'll be here spreading the Xmas cheer.
