Feeling a lot more positive this morning. Helps that it's payday so really it's the first step towards what you guys are mentioning, the end of the blip and my lesson to learn about frugal living. I really appreciate all your comments, I just feel like i need some support. Iv got it from my OH but I'm not going to bore her with all my thoughts and what happens to every penny, il keep that for here.
One thing iv more or less cut right out of my SOA is how much I was spending on drink/drink related things like taxis, take aways and club entry on nights out etc. It was really stressful leading upto the court case and I had no idea what was going to happen. The worst of it is over, iv got a small case at end of the year and that's me for being on the wrong side of the law for the rest of my days, crime really does not pay. Hope I'm not being judged by a mistake as it's a lesson learned and I can now start to grow up and pay this off.
Thanks for your time and kind words x:eek:Living frugally at 24

Many on here recommend a spending diary.
Even coffees, newspapers and sweets on the way to and from work all add up!
You need to give yourself a limit on what you spend on `treats` and stick to it.
If it means you can only go out once or twice a month so be it, it wont be forever.
Have a play with this http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/demotivator/?_ga=1.206887187.1814423727.1402044849
For instance I had to knock everything on the head, I had no choice as I wasn`t going to get debtfree, nor was we ever going to live comfortably.
I no longer buy magazines, newspapers, coffees, take aways, can`t remember the last time I was even in a newsagents - probably 2010!!
I got rid of my mobile - don`t even miss it now!
I take drinks and food from home if we go out, we spend our whole summer doing picnics, forest/beach walks and the likes instead of a holiday - its a luxury we can`t afford.
Friends come to me for coffee/lunch instead of the usual `shall we meet for lunch`. Saves me a good £20+ a week just doing that!!
Noone is judging you at all, your doing great and the positive thinking and determination is great!!
I wish I had been as sensible as you when I was 22, I`d be in a better place right now.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Oh YB I'm so sorry to hear this. You will be missed on the £12k thread.
I'm sure you have thought of this but during the months you earn more, put all the extra you earn away and live as frugally as possible so that during the months when you earn less you have the cash there to pay what you need to.
Your SOA is quite good actually. Could you reduce the internet at all? If this is your half then in total the monthly bill is £160? I get that this might include TV and phone but I pay £27.62 per month for basic TV, landline and unlimited broadband. No Sky sports or movies. Do you need your phone for business? Does it include costs of calls? I'm sure you could reduce this somehow.
Yes, put something away for emergencies and cut your entertainment down as much as possible.
You absolutely can do this. I have seen your dedication on the £12k challenge. It must have been a shock at first but once you get your head round it you will be just fine. I know it.
I am subscribing to follow your progress and kick you up the butt-butt if you so require!

Sorry if I miss a couple of questions with this reply as I'm on my phone so it's quite fiddly!! Having a tea break at work, been here since 7. Thanks to everyone who's subscribing to this thread, im hoping in a year or so time I can head over to the savings board again! If I can pay £1,000+ a month off debt then I can certainly save the same amount once the debts gone.
I got paid £1,444.54 yesterday so my balance is upto between £3,900-£4,000. I'm going to try and get 3 months expenses built up then anything left above that the day before a payday(get paid every second Friday) will be paid to the debt. It's been a great relief putting the figures down on here and seeing just what I have to do to tackle this before I get stuck in debt for the rest of my days.
As for the sky question; sky, broadband and phone are about £77 a month total! So my half is £38.50 ish! Never noticed that, thanks for pointing it out! OH fave hobby is the tv so no way she would give it up!:eek:Living frugally at 24
