Ah - so it's your dog's poos I get on my shoes when I walk in the forest.

Sorry, but I pick up everywhere, you never know who's going to walk there next!

'Stick and flick' is the best way when off the beaten track, better than contributing to landfill. This is what the Forestry Commission and the National Trust advise too.

I knew someone would have a hissy fit about this. As I said in my post, my dog goes off the path to do her business. Usually in some shrubbery or similar. She's a tiny dog, so I bet it's not her poo you have trodden in. Foxes, badgers and other wild animals do bigger, smellier and more frequent poos than my dog.

I'll say it again: my dog goes OFF the path to do her business.

The paths in the forests where I go only ever have badger poo on them, all the dogs go off the path, so I guess you don't live around here :p

If my dog has a poo elsewhere, such as the local playing field, I do of course pick it up.

Anyways, this is not another thread about dog poo. It's about weeing indoors ;)

Well,my boy is back from the vet minus his bits!! He looks a little bit subdued but seemingly he tucked into a meal there with relish.
This morning it was raining again - clearly he doesn't like rain! but I said "Go and be a busy boy" and after realising I wasn't going to let him back indoors he wee'd up a plant. I made lots of suitable noises but couldn't treat him as the no food rule applied!

Yesterday was a wee free day!
When he wouldn't go in the garden I grabbed a lead and took him to the nearest fence/ lamp post/ patch of grass.
Hopefully it will be wee free today???

So far three wee free days in a row!
I think he is getting the message.....and it's only been just over 2 weeks- I keep forgetting that! Before that he was living in a kennel.
I'm popping treats into his mouth if he scent marks or wees proper.....as long as it is outside I don't care.
And if you haven't seen who I am training, he's here- tri coloured-boy- standing on the left

My dogs have always had their faces rubbed in it when they have wee'd indoors. They learn within days not to do it.

Lots of fuss and smelly, easily digestible treats for when they go outside.

My neutered male dog squats like a girl when he wees lol. Though he does live with 3 girl dogies.

I think that's uneccessary and all it teaches them is to hide when and where they're doing it. Or make them scared of you. Neither of which is particularly constructive.

Day 7 of the no wee challenge!
My boy has lived in a shed for all his life so he is not house trained- he certainly does not get his face rubbed in it! That is called negative conditioning- fine if you like being cruel to your pets.
Mine gets lots of praise and a treat every time. He's a clever dog and learning fast. It is less than 3 weeks since I brought him home.

And here I read the title thinking the OP wanted a small dog at no cost! Ooops.
