    Definetely do as albatross says as £45 is alot, whats happens next time you want to change it you will have to pay money again.

    My advise would be to start over again, do one computer at a time and try it first without using WAP/WEP as this can be sorted later.

    without knowing all the problems it seems like you just have no external connection. i had to do lots of fannying around settings up a friends virgin media connection after he had his router relocated.

    one thing, your main desktop is working fine?
    is this connected to the wireless router or the virgin one, and is it wired?

    :beer: Thanks everyone, it may well be 'sortable' but I really have had enough, this is day 2:rotfl: A friend of a friend who is a computer whizz has volunteered to come and help. hopefully tomorrow :T and for free :j well wine will be exchanging hands. If it is something simple I will kick myself, will let you all know what was wrong, it may hopefully help someone else who is stuck. Cheers all helpers :beer:
