Agreed, but surely it is down to the dealer to make sure the car he is selling fits the description? Just because the dealer doesn't know it's mapped doesn't mean the problems should be settled by the customer who bought it.

The dealer giving me a refund and selling it on as a remapped vehicle would be the right outcome?

Bmw technician rang me, it's the injector but he then went on to tell me he advises me to not accept payment of repairs but a refund as the car isn't in good shape at all. He will give me details tomorrow.

I rang the garage I bought it of, when I told him about the warranty being void he replied 'majority of diesels on the road these days are remapped'.

he also told me if I stuck with the warranty I bought off him the car would of been fixed.. I've checked autoguards terms and conditions and strictly no modifications...I don't know if I said earlier but he sold me a warranty, I got home read reviews and cancelled for a safer bmw warranty as this had better reviews and I didn't want to risk a big bill.

So I think he is going to use the fact I cancelled the first warranty against me. I have an appointment with a solicitor tomorrow as it is obvious the dealer doesn't want to know.
