I think you can tell we'd all like a shed to decorate and sit in with pretty things. :)

  • I've painted my tiny shed in stripes of pink blue and white. It looks like a little beach hut all cute and lovely. Everyone comments on it and love it. I,m sure they aren't lying. Lol.

Sounds like a lovely project. My mum has a similar set up and has decorated hers as a potting shed (which she does use it for). She put a mural on each wall for each of the seasons, put up a curtain and painted the trim in contrast on the outside. I think she also found a bit of lattice or picket fence which is on the outside wall and then she painted flowers behind it.

If it were mine I'd probably go with solid colours and perhaps make coordinating cushions for a chair or bench inside. Since you'll need storage, what about coordinating wall pockets for smaller things and a wooden storage box/seat painted to match if you can find one?

I'd echo pooky, I'd love a shed to myself to decorate!

I've just painted my shed pale blue, and put up some old metal signs on the front, now going to make curtains from some pink polka dot shower curtains, it looks lovely.

Sorry but I have to ask.

Your shed is at the bottom of your garden isn't it and not on the allotment? :rotfl:

My first thought was shed, decorate it, surely not? I was immediately thinking allotment. But if it's in your garden, I think it's a fab idea to paint it how some people have advised. Love the beach hut idea.

I've just painted the shed on my allotment a boring brown but ......... hm I could do the inside couldn't I? I already have the chairs, shelves and tea making facilities. Perhaps a bit of colour on the walls as the flooring is bright blue :D.
