I wonder are E.ON going to compensate me for my time and the cost of 9 hours worth of phone calls - it seems to me that E.ON are doing everything in their power to wriggle out of the responsibility of paying out - I think the only way forward is to contact the ombudsman
Hi sharonloumac
That's right we'd need your consumption to calculate the difference and if you'd have been better off or not. We won't have your consumption from a previous supplier.
We'd normally need the previous tariff, address and previous supplier. All of this as well as the consumption can be found on your previous bills from your old supplier.
We do need all of the information to enable us to make the correct calculations, not to wriggle out of it.
If you're unhappy, I do advise you to raise a complaint with us and this will follow the correct procedure (this is on the website, I'm sorry I'm not allowed to post links). The Ombudsman can be contacted if your complaint isn't resolved after 8 weeks, or if we issue a deadlock letter.
If you contact us with your old bills in front of you, we should be able to get this resolved pretty quickly for you.
Thanks and hope this helps.

If I had my old bills I wouldnt need to contact Scottish Power or be told by yourselves that after 28 days my claim would be closed - this is pointless as you seem to only be allowed to post the same comments to everybody - so are no help whatsoever - just makes people more infuriated!!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:0

I do understand this is frustrating, I really do.
I'm sorry that I can't help with contacting Scottish Power and I didn't know you didn't have any of your old bills.
There isn't much we can post about this subject to be honest as each case is looked at individually by the specialists that are dealing with these accounts.
We can only really point you in the right direction regarding this.
I'm sorry if I've upset you.

I am no longer a e on customer as I found the customer service a joke but I received a letter saying they had mis-sold my gas and electric and I was paying more than I was with my old provider and to ring them. Whole reason I changed to e on was that they said I would be paying alot less with there age uk taffif as my son is disabled. So I ring them and got told that the letter was sent by mistake think they are trying to get out of giving compensation already like I said before customer service is a JOKE...:eek:0
