YAF, don't be ashamed you've been a fool.Be proud of what you're doing now. Our pasts make us who we are. You're only a fool if you don't learn from what you do….and from what you're saying you have learned, so you're no fool.PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!0 -
The past couple of days I've managed to pay off the pay day loans. Ive also closed my account at one but another I believe you cannot just close it!
The silver lining is I never missed a payment and paid in full I suppose.
I've also made payments to both credit cards, enough to cover the interest payments (as I would have gone over this time and been hit with more fees), so thats a positive for me.
Thanks to my sister for the loan (and other members for suggesting I bite the bullet and nip the PDL in the bud, whilst I had time)
I've also decided to ebay a few of my valuables that I no longer use, such as ipads, mobiles etc. (I dont gamble on them, but I don't want to give myself the opportunity, as some ex addicts suggested selling because the addiction is strong!) Hopefully this should help me reduce this debt a little more.
One step at a time, but I feel like I'm making an effort and I'm determined to be debt free!
I've also seen a picture that I wanted to post but unfortunately I cannot post links. If you search 'falling man pride' in google and click images, its the first one. It made me smile anyway!

Thank you
I've a lot to learn, but I'm sure with the help off this forum and all you lovely people, my journey should be a little easier.0 -
Tell you what helps as well….seeing your debt go down. Each time mine goes down another £100 or drops into the next £1000 down I am so pleased.
I couldn't be reducing my debt like I am without this forum, that's for sure.PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.

I'm glad you are feeling better about things already and that will only improve whilst you stay away from gambling. You have to forget about the money you have lost as you can't get that back now.
Like Willowpop says I think you will find it helps to see the debt reducing and that will spur you on even further.LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

Hi, no K9 software only affects the PC/Laptop which it is installed on. So you can install it on your own computer and it will not affect anyone else wishing to use gambling websites on their computer or mobile phone.
Hope that helps.0 -
