your dog pick its s**t up!

Grrrrr why do people let their dogs poo where ever they want and not clean up after them?!?!

I am so annoyed one of my neighbors literally opens their door lets their huge dog run free while they sit on their bums then after its poo'd all over my garden and on the green where the kids play shout it in.

They saw it going to toilet and ignored it when i mention how disgusting it is they agree and say they always pick up...i feel like screaming 'no you f**king don't'

I probably sound mad and over reacting but I am fed up of my children coming home with poo either on their shoes or clothes! Ive tried the local council but signs and letters did not work. I am trying not to fall out with the neighbors so what other way can i get them to pick up without causing a rift?


The one day they stood and watched it poo outside my kitchen window and said oh no the dogs been to toilet, to which i replied oh can you grab a bag or something and clean it up but they just laughed and they didnt seem to think i was serious.

report them. environmental health. or just pick the poo up and put it on their doorstep. don't just take the !!!!!!. if they don't like it then tough. why worry about their 'feelings' when they allow their dog to create a health hazard? and if they complain - then you are just returning their property.
You are not over reacting. responsible dog owners clean up after their pets. and by law you are required to.

Animals regardless of all types sh*t, it's down to the owner to be responsible and clean up after it. You get good animal owners and you get bad ones.

Mention it to them again OP, let them know how serious you are, especially with little kids running about. If they fail to listen to you again, do a Sharon Osbourne and parcel it all up in a pretty box and place it on their doorstep.

Well no to be honest I hate anything sh**ting in my garden but the cats round here don't seem to poo in my garden so can't complain about that.

I have reported it to them and they sent the street warden round who sprayed bright signs on the paths, leaflets on the posts and knocked on doors but still they don't seem to care, think you are right I may have to start picking it up and returning it.

They know how much it annoys me as my 6 year old told them how I always moan that they let their dog run free scaring all the kids and pooing everywhere.

I know I am not the only person to have complained either as 3 of the other neighbors have also done so.

I am with you 100% its disgusting. If you have a pet be responsible and clean up after it.
I lost count of the times when my kids were young when they would stand in it and it would be all over the house. I have stood by the sink wretching whilst cleaning it off shoes.
I will now admit to having a couple of the kids seaside spades and at night I would scoop up the poo from the grass or footpath, having seen the offending dog earlier in the act and fling it into the offending dogs garden. It made me feel better.
What's all this with some dog owners these days, they pick up the poo in one of the bags and then hang it from a tree? Take it home if you can't find a bin. I have often flung open my front door to remonstrate with a dog walker who thinks no ones looking as his dog does its business and they walk of leaving it behind.
If other neighbours have also complained about your offending neighbour, you all need to badger the council in turns until they come out and catch the dog in the act and fine the owners.
Please note, I'm not against anyone having pets as long as they are responsible.

Can you fence off your garden? If not, buy a water pistol, better still, a garden hose and spray the dog every time you catch it in the act, hopefully that will put it off coming in to your garden.

I have 3 dogs and I never take them out without a pocket full of poop bags. I always clean up and take said poopy bags home, if there are no poop bins on my route.

Irresponsible dog owners spoil dog ownership for everyone..:mad:

This makes me really mad. Literally I hate walking my dogs in summer because everywhere is littered with dog poop. Comes to colder and wetter autumn/winter and the amount reduces significantly.

Its another reason I want to move back out of city life. It is absolutely vile. I don't know what on earth some people are feeding their dogs, too..!!
