Samsung Galaxy S3 S III middle plate cracks

Hi

Recently on my Samsung Galaxy S3 on middle plate two cracks. It wasn't a mechanical break. I called Samsung as I heard few people has
send their phones to them and were fixed. My phone is still on warranty and I heard those crack are Samsung fault. They send me to
Intercity Telecom Ltd and they reply to send the phone to them. If they decide that the fault is mechanical I'll be charge for repair.

Does anybody had or heard about that kind of problem with Galaxy 3? Is it realy Samsung fault or it's hard to prove it that it was
their fault not mine? Thx for any advice guys!!!

Luke

how many times you dropped it?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Middle Plate is what exactly ??.

Usual is for warranty to be rejected if the fault is damage .

The vendor is responsible for warranty under SOGA .Samsungs warranty is an additional limited warranty on the terms and conditions they state .

By 'middle plate' i assume you mean the frame\bezel assembly that everything is attached to. The bezel part cracks readily if the phone is dropped but wont in any way affect the operation of the phone. Be aware there is probably no more expensive repair you can get on an S3 than replacing this. It means the screen needs replacing as well since the screen cannot be removed from the frame. If you wanted to do it yourself its a pretty simple job and would cost about £90 as the screen/frame can be purchased as a single unit. You then just need to take the components out of your old one and put them into the new on. Getting it done professionally will cost between 2 and 3 hundred.

I should have said (before someone decides to moan about it) that the screen cannot be removed from the frame without destroying it. It is possible to put a new screen only into an existing frame but it requires digging the old one out. It would not be possible to remove the screen from one frame and put it into another.
