Thing You Never Thought You Could Sell On Ebay (Take 2)

No. Besides, I think there's a rule on ebay that says any clothes you sell have to be in clean and saleable condition, or something like that.
I have a fairly old portable tv with built in video. I was thinking of putting it on ebay but I thought of a better idea. They have boards in the supermarket here where you can put up ads and posters for free. I figured I'd put an ad up for it on there, then someone in the local area can collect it and take it away. I haven't done it yet, but it might be easier to find a customer and avoid any fees for selling it that way.0 -
I've got a pair of slippers that are really only fit for the bin. Do you think they would sell?!
Hi,
They might, y'know... but it depends how you market them...;)
There was a thread on the ebay forum - do a search for well worn shoes,
someone sold a pair of old knackered slippers, and other old shoes sell to what shall we call 'em.... collectors?

Hi, I have just sold a book on ebay for £17 , it was only £6.99 new ! I thought it must be rare , so i checked on amazon but there are loads of the same book selling from 49p. I am still in shock that someone bid my book up so high. Not complaining though:j .0

Thanks to the original "what you never thought you could sell on ebay" thread, we have sold the following:
- beer mats
- old car tax discs
- mobile phone that I put through the washing machine
- freeview box that no longer worked
- magazine that someone was throwing in a skip
- mugs we "acquired" from a restaurant once!
- voucher for £10 off a Tassimo machine
- empty printer cartridges
So, get selling everyone! Every little bit helps!
Why would anyone want car tax discs - bizarreThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I sold an odd sock.
I sewed eyes and a mouth on her and told a sad story about how she'd lost her other half. Here she is, I think she made me a couple of quid!
Susie Sock is Sad. Susie needs YOUR help. Here is Susie's tragic story...Susie and Sammy were made together on the same day in the same factory. They were together all the way through Matalan. They were so happy when they moved into their own little sock drawer together... but their happiness was not to last.Susie last saw her bestest friend and partner, Sammy Sock, in a hostel in Amsterdam in 2002... she hasn't seen or heard from him since. Susie hopes Sammy didn't run off with a Sexy Stocking!Susie has spent the last three lonely years moping round the sock drawer she'd shared so briefly with Sammy. Susie is very sad; she still misses Sammy very much. Can you help Susie? Maybe you stayed in Durty Nelly's on Warmoesstraat in March 2002, in the big dorm, second on the right, bottom bunk, and found Sammy!Or maybe you know of another lonely sock who can be Susie's friend, a sock who can help her move on... Are YOU that sock?Refusing to Sit Down & Shut Up since 19740 -
I bought a really old plastic (not bakelite) radio in a car boot sale for £2. My husband thought I'd gone mad. I don't know whether it worked or not. The reason I bought it was it had 'made in USSR' on it and I thought someone from the old Eastern Bloc might be interested.
Sure enough, it went to what used to be East Germany for £48!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

I just sold a broken iPod for £20. I tipped a bottle of water over it while drunk a few months ago, and it won't even turn on now. I'm assuming that someone wanted it for parts, but I'd actually imagine the insides are probably just yucky by now!0
