Miss sold?

in Credit cards
Hi..
I think I have been miss sold a Credit card. Before i applied it i went on to their website read through the FAQ's and it say's that I could change my payment date, whenever I want to what I want it to be. I have changed it a few times, and now I called up to change to go around the day I get paid, and was told that I couldn't change it, I can only change it once every 6 months. When I mentioned what it said on the website, the advisor told me that it was wrong. One of the reason I took out the card was because of that flexibility of choosing a payment date.
Have I been miss sold it?
Who do I make a complaint to?

Have I been miss sold it?
How many times do you call a few?
It is may be OK to change it once but to keep changing it numerous times is hardly reasonable, TBH if they allow you change it once every six months that is fair.
How have you been miss sold, you accept the T & C's when you applied, just because you now don't like them hardly makes it miss sold, don't use the card if it does not meet your needs.0 -

What is the actual wording, could you copy and paste here or advise the URL? Is the wording reflected in the formal product Ts & Cs and/or the credit agreement?bluegirl01 wrote: »I have changed it a few times, and now I called up to change to go around the day I get paid, and was told that I couldn't change it, I can only change it once every 6 months
Have you changed it a few times within six months?bluegirl01 wrote: »Have I been miss sold it?

I doubt this would be considered mis-selling but if you can demonstrate to the provider that they're not complying with their terms and conditions then raise a formal complaint with them, and if that doesn't get you anywhere you have the right to take it up with the Financial Ombudsman Service....0 -
normally people would set their payment date to just after they have been paid, or another convenient date, and just leave it. why have you needed to change it "a few times"?
if you fight this you might get them to change it another time for you, but i think you ought to be happy with that, get it right, and leave it.0 -
Can I change the day that my payment is due?
"As a customer, you can enjoy the benefit of choosing a monthly payment date to suit you. What’s more, you can change this as many times as you like"
I have only changed it twice in the last 6 months. Yes i signed up to the terms and conditions and this was one of them, even on the formal letters that they sent to me.0 -
If you feel it's been missold, cancel the card and open another one.
You're unlikely to get anything if you complain, you've had no real loss.
Who is the provider?
Have you tried to ring again and speak to someone else?
Why have you changed it so many times?0 -

You've not been mis-sold as you applied for the product.
There may be a case of false advertising, etc, but not mis-selling in this instance.
If you wish to complain to Aqua, from their own website:
"Should you wish to make a complaint, you can do so in writing to the following address:
aqua Customer Services
PO BOX 173
Sheffield
S98 1JW"
http://www.aquacard.co.uk/credit-card-faq/managing-account-faq
Complaints about false advertising should be sent to the ASA

You're unlikely to get anything if you complain
Depends what the desired outcome is - if the above wording is in their formal Ts & Cs then it doesn't seem unreasonable to expect them to honour them. I can certainly see them changing it as a one-off at least, and potentially putting some marker on file to allow further changes.
Whether or not it's actually necessary to make repeated changes is a matter for OP but there could be valid reasons (e.g. some people are paid every four weeks), so if this facility is offered as a standard feature that OP factored into choosing this product then why shouldn't it be made available?0 -
My pay date varies. I try not to use the card, unless I really have to.0
