If it is the way you say it is, ask the hotel manager (not the duty manager) for details of which police station/ officer is dealing with this.

If they can't give you this, tell them that YOU are going to bring the police in as it is clear that criminal activity is happening in their hotel.

    Then watch them jump.

Taking money in this way is theft. So involve the police.

It always surprises me that in these situations the neither the bank or the company want to involve the police. The threat however normally seems to get results fast.

I presume that you are referring to a debit card rather than a credit card.
If it was a debit card, it just reinforces what I have said numerous times on this site - ONLY use your debit card in an ATM. Every time you use your debit card anywhere else you are potentially opening up your bank account for someone to help themselves.
If you have to use plastic, use a credit card - any fraud then, 'aint your problem !

I use my debit card all the time. When it was cloned and used fraudulently, Lloyds TSB cancelled the card and refunded all costs to me immediately.

From my experience all cards can be cloned but it was easy to get the money refunded to my bank account. It may have taken longer with a credit card company.
