I hate it too. If I have to soak then I do it for 20 min, plus I don't use primer which seems to help, ive only used the sensationail colours though, I tried the lux gel led polish from Asda but found it a little gloopy, maybe it was just a bad batch? I haven't bought anymore from that range as the colours are similar to my sensationail.
Thinking of trying bluesky from Amazon but worried about fakes and potential reactions that some have mentioned :-(0 -
I've got Bluesky polish from Amazon and they're great. Definitely not fakes. It think it's more risky from eBay.0

thank you, I think I will take the plunge now, it's worth a try for the price. I've had some bluesky colours sat in my amazon basket for a few weeks, until I decided what to do :-)0 -

I've ordered Bluesky from Amazon and also some CCO from eBay and both have been fine - I tend to look at the suppliers who have sold lots over the years.0 -

I treated myself to a cheap (and I do mean cheap) set on Friday. Bought it from Boyes (Sorry, I realise this is only helpful to those who have a Boyes store near them) for £22.50 (They have their 25% off sale on Xmas gift sets right now)
It was this: http://www.glitterstore.co.uk/technic-pro-one-step-gel-nail-starter-kit.html
Didn't think it would be up to much but credit where credit it due - I'm really happy with it and the quality it gives too. It also cures other brands too and is LED rather than UV which I'm doubly happy with.
(If you have a local store, Boyes are also selling Sally Hansen salon pro gel polishes that need an LED lamp for £1.99 each. I definitely recommend Glitterati - it's gorgeous, I'm wearing it now!)Princess Sparklepants0 -

that's a great find. unfortunately we don't have Boyes nearby so im really jealous of those prices for Sally Hansen.ive been checking home bargains and BM stores and even pound shops! but all ive found is W7 polish for about £2 which has a UV gel sticker on it but i can't seem to cure it with my LED lamp. perhaps it's not compatible, but it smells like regular polish so im not convinced :undecided

Poundland has Gel Perfect nutranail no-cure-needed - I've bought two (purple luxe and sheer pink) but I'm a bit too distracted by how easy the gel stuff is and playing too much to try it.
Was a little surprised they had no gel stuff though, but I think we might be pushing it at a pound?Princess Sparklepants0 -

Acetone is the product you use to soak off gels! Hard gels need to be buffed off.0 -
I think poundshops are pushing it for LED gel a little
but you never know, my local sometimes has EOL stock of higher end brands.
I have an update on the Essence peel off French base coat with no other colours. I applied it on Sunday, noticed a bit of shrinkage around the edges and it didn't sit well (bubbled up). The next day 2 of them peeled off !! It may have been my application as I only applied one coat which was a little rushed and may not have capped the tips correctly, but I'm not convinced that it is going to last long.
Over Christmas I used the essence clear peel off with colours on top plus the top coat so perhaps the sensationail top coat seals it better?0
