    Good for you kadsion!! :):)

The beginnings are great fun.... When there are no smelly socks left lying about... Or wet towels on the bed

  • Good morning lovely ladies.

I sorted through my stash last night, will list it tonight when I have more time, over 200 items and I am sure there are more lurking in cupboards, washbags and handbags! There are 'odds and sods' dotted around the house which I haven't listed in the stash but will count as UUs and I will put £1 in the pot for each of those

I have designated all of my No7 minis as holiday toiletries (we are only going for a week so should work out about right) and have loads of sachets/samples which I will use for nights away, love to travel light.

Couple of UUs last night, S&G Glad Hair Day Shampoo 250ml and Botanics After Colour Conditioner 75ml also used an Olay Regenerist Eye Derma Pod, had 24 in the pack, 19 left now!

    Have a good day

    I have a uu

Yardley English Daisy Body Spray - WBA.

    and also a TA

Figs & Rouge Geranium Balm - this is ok when opened then very quickly it forms a thick rubbery skin even when it is used daily, the geranium smell goes quickly and leaves a horrible waxy smell. I have only had success with the Rose balm from this brand.

No INs or UUs but looking for some advice for everyone on here. I know it's off topic but everyone here is so lovely.
BF's grandmother has died and I am really dreading the funeral. :( I went to his other grandparent's funeral last year and although I didn't really know them got awfully upset during the service. I was a complete wreck, whereas his family were very composed. I felt so awkward and embarrassed but could not stop crying.
I was at a funeral last month, someone I knew through the sports club so didn't know him particularly well and I thought I would be able to hold myself together, I couldn't.
Again, I was sobbing uncontrollably. I really don't know what to do. I've tried kalms beforehand and try to think of something else to keep my mind busy but it's not working.
Really don't want to go to the funeral this week but know I will be expected to be there by his family.
    Does anyone have any advice?
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time

Don't try and hold in the emotion beforehand, you know you'll probably get emotional so let it out, the more you try not to cry, the more you will, it's sod's law unfortunately.

You can also take a large stack of tissues or a scarf and bury your face in that, also wear your hair down if it's long to cover your face a bit. Also smoker's breathing can help, in for a count of 4 and out for a count of 7 xxx

Hi asset, sorry to hear about the bereavement. If it were me I would talk openly to my OH (and maybe his parents, if you're close to them) about it - provided they understand the reason for you not attending then I'm sure they would understand. Far better than just not going as this might then come across as not caring.

Without wanting to sound unkind, whilst I'm sure your OH needs your support at this sad time, you may end up being more of a burden to him during the service if you have such a strong emotional reaction to funerals. Perhaps you could send flowers and a nice card to his parents, then attend the wake afterwards (assuming there is one) to show your support?

I think you've put it beautifully there :)

Asset, I'm very sorry for you and your OH. An acquaintance of mine died in an accident along with her teenage son a couple of years ago; I decided not to attended their funeral as I knew I was going to fall apart and I didn't want it to come across as disingenuous when I really didn't know her that well -- the whole situation was so tragic, I'm tearing up just thinking about it. As long as you are honest with your OH and his family I wouldn't think anyone will have a problem if you're not at the service. Everyone deals with grief in their own way, be kind to yourself xx

    One IN, one OUT…

IN #44: Lacura Renew Eye Cream 15ml; unnecessary insomuch as I bought some nspa eye cream the other day :o but I like this and as it's not available all the time now, I pounced.

TA #14: Palmers Bust Cream 125ml; tried this all over after my shower last night, felt like I had dipped myself in UHU :p but waited for it to dry and it was ok. Walked back into the bedroom, DH sniffed and said, "Have you just been sick?!" I had to get straight back into the shower, THAT'S how bad it smells. Suffice it to say, I'm not persevering :D In the bin it goes *fling!*
