I find the Soltan only feels greasy if I put too much on, but everyone's skin is different.
For body protection, this is my favourite as it doesn't smell like hairspray and go all greasy (like the soltan aerosol one - yuk!)
http://www.boots.com/en/Nivea-Sun-Protect-Refresh-SPF30-200ml_1305556/
You can get it in 20, 30 and 50. Someone said you can get it in 10 but I wouldn't tell anyone to use under 15 so I never said that!
It's perfect for using on your back as well as you can spray it on and rub in the bits you can get to and just let it sink in otherwise. I am fair skinned and don't tan so I use 30 and 50.
I also have the new Garnier aerosol so I'll post what I think of that at some point as well.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Thanks for the new thread Clutterfree - I'm in again (of course!).
Managed to up my OUTS last month by getting rid of old make up. May still get rid of some more this month as am going through things and testing them to see if I want to keep them or not. Had planned on no INS last month but didn't manage itWill try again this month.
Kadison glad to hear you enjoyed the show in Bath and hope you enjoyed your Dominos last night - Dominos always cheers me up a bit
Hope dolly and seaside dreamer both had good holidays.
Didn't do very well with my PP last month so this months one is pretty similar:
1. The Sanctuary body lotion - this one has been on the PP for 3 months in a row now! Will definitely get used up this month as is nearly at the end now.
2. Soap and Glory hand food mini
3. The Body Shop seaweed mattifying day cream
4. Elle foot cream
5. The Body Shop vanilla shower gel
1 IN at the end of last month to add -
114 - Batiste dry shampoo in cherry - replaced a recent UU. I always try to get the cherry fragrance as I have found with the other ones that once I have used half the can, it just sprays out empty? Weird.0 -
Hello everyone! :hello:
I'm back for another month and already have a UU (which has been a LHJ for a couple of months!):
Alberto Balsam green apple shampoo 400ml - I seem to remember that this was from a bottle tombola at school. It was actually ok so WMBA.
I also have a TA:
Jolen hair lightening - love this, but it had become ineffective as it was too clumpy.
Only to replace it with a new box of it! So, that's an IN!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

I've got very sensitive skin which prob doesn't help.
We are different lol I like the soltan body ones
I'm a fan of
http://www.boots.com/en/Soltan-Adult-Dry-Touch-Lotion-SPF50-200ml_1450972/
And this one
http://www.boots.com/en/Soltan-Invisible-Spray-SPF50-200ml_1207090/
It's got awful reviews but I didn't find it greasy and it doesn't stain my clothes lol
I never use less than factor 30 but I'm a red head that doesn't tan and I'm taking tablets with photo sensitivity as a side effect. I remember when I was 18 I had factor 30 on went in the sea for an hour and didn't top up and I ended up with huge blisters on my back and having to use proper burns cream. The doctor went mad at me. I always have a cardi or scarf on me to cover up after 30 mins or so.
Does anyone else also use a spray for their scalp? You can get them but they are very hard to get hold of I find. The soltan version is not good0 -

It was the Soltan aerosol I found disgusting, I don't rate the invisible spray much either tbh. I use the Nivea aerosol and spray that on my hairline and ears too, if it's sunny and I'm out all day then I'll either wear a hat or a triangle bandana over my hair to protect most of my scalp, and spray the Nivea on the bits that show.
I don't find my scalp burns but my hair does, it being black it traps the heat and could be used as a barbeque if necessary! :rotfl:No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Last summer I used a solar sport one and it was only spf15 as that was all I could get but not too greasy as long as I took care to spray just down my parting. Otherwise I get a scaly red peeling parting which is not a sexy look.
I never thought about that with black hair.
I have already had one mole removed (fortunately not cancerous) because it had changed shape so I'm really paranoid about skin cancer. My sun protection is the most important part of my summer beauty regime.0 -
Thanks for the thread, clutterfree
I'm in again, I have been excessively bad of late and I'm sure there's not even anything I can find to buy which I don't already have!
I have a major shopping problem, and it's not just toiletries/beauty....it's clothes and shoes too! Doesn't help much that I recently lost 3stone so had to buy new clothes anyway, and as I used to be limited to 'fat' shops, and no longer am, I've gone a bit wild! Must stop spending like there's no tomorrow!
I've done a PP in my stash booklet but can't remember what I've put on it just now!
I know one item that was on it I have as my first UU
1/ s&g clean on me 500mls. This was on last months PP and it REFUSED to finish yesterday:rotfl: so, after this mornings bath it is now finished and I'm relieved as it's been a LHJ but I was good and persevered through the whole month with it rather than changing when I got bored!
My boss has told me today that her 13yr old daughter came downstairs last night when she got in from work to tell her she was distraught as they had run out of snow fairy (she normally buys for the year but this time it hasn't lasted) so I'm thinking of GA 5 of the mega stash bottles for her as I'm still angry at the snow fairy haha. (I'd say lush in general but their 30-bottle-issue hasn't stopped me buying other lush stuff at all) so have barely used any this year!No more unnecessary toiletries Feb 2014 INS: 24 UU: 13. Mar 2014. INS: lost count, naughty step for me! UU: 80 -

I don't have a parting unless I straighten my hair, which I only do in the evenings in summer if at all.
I am also very conscious of skin cancer, I won't step outside without full sun protection during the summer, not even to go to the car. I don't burn massively easily but I have a lot of moles, so I too am always keeping an eye on them.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I have a rather large parting as last year my GP put me on some tablets for nerve pain and a side effect was them making my hair fall out. Then I came off them and it started coming back but the regrowth is all at different rates and so I had loads of sticky up bits so I now have a side parting which blends the regrowth a bit better.
I must buy some more scalp sunscreen this has reminded me so that will be an in for this month.0 -
Hmmmmm maybe I will put facial fake tan to develop overnight then, and wear the serum and sunblock by day. I will be working in a very hectic kitchen over summer and any makeup I wear runs if I have too many products on my skin, and though I use powder we get one break and I'd rather be resting my ankle than running to the next floor down to powder my nose.
Ah the conundrums of being a woman. No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0
