My local FB selling page is good.It has good admin who blocks the lose weight by wrapping your self in something and use this cream and be 10 years younger,plus any sellers that are not local.Small local businesses can advertise once a month.Best is no seller can "bump" up their items more than 4 times as lots of people was bumping lots of times a day every day for weeks.
I have never sold on ebay but have sold a few things on FB and had no trouble.0 -
Just listing some more items on facebook selling pages and notice that one of the sites I list on now has 13000+ users. At this rate of growth a single page may well overtake ebid as a place to sell online!
I've found FB selling sites popularity can have a negative effect on sales - on my local ones, at times there are so many new and bumped posts being added, new ones stay on the first page for seconds. People seem to realise this so bump even more frequently.
Handy for selling bulky items though as long as you can put up with silly offers, not reading the price, or asking for delivery when you've stated you can't, or ... etc etc0 -
That's true Soolin - I do see a lot of "sorry it's gone" without apostrophe of course, then a day later "sfs".
Not sure why but the facebook for sale groups do seem to be 90% female.
Saw an ad yesterday that had double exclamations after each!! word!! Makes an ebay l@@k seem the very epitome of reservation.
Bye! hun!! XXXXXXXXXXOh yes the kisses....:o every message peppered with them. I send buyers my mobile number and they update me with collection times and every text has kisses- on a good selling week my phone looks like it belongs to a pimp;
'ALMOST THERE BABE XX'
'love item, love you hun x'
'sorry can't make it tonight babe'earningNsaving wrote: »This post has made me laugh. :rotfl:
I am used to the spelling mistakes as most people on my friends list can't spell lol so that's no bother. Regarding the kisses and hun, as a business seller on ebay, I get these a lot too from customers.
Thanks for the advice about the facebook groups though. I think I have come to the conclusion that I will try my items on all 4 and just see what happens. My stuff will be cheap anyway as I just want to get rid of it
Why are these posts so self righteous? I don't get why this forum looks down on others? Does it make you feel better about yourself?
I really do wonder why some of you even bother to 'sell' :think:Always open a case if your unhappy with a transaction :money:0
