Any issues with Nationwide online banking?

Hello people.

I've not been able to log in to NW online banking for the past couple of days.

Getting error once I've put the pass number from my card reader:

"We are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later."

Anyone else have any problems?

It's worked fine for me, but I always log in using memorable data rather than with the card reader - maybe worth a try?

Good shout - I just gave it a try and got: "We seem to be experiencing some technical problems"

Not yet. I'll give them a call if it appears it's just me, but I was just going to see if anyone else had issues.

I've sometimes got this when using IE, when this happens I switch to Firefox which always seems to work ok

ETA - have just logged in fine using Firefox :)

Thanks jackie. I've also tried on IE, Chrome, Opera and my iPad - all not working. I'll give it until Monday I think - it's not my primary account so it's no bother really.

It seems to me that there is a pattern emerging whereby these problems are reported here around the end of each month. Either Nationwide has more problems at that time or more people are attempting use online banking at that time and thus more people notice.

Of course on any weekend there is the risk of planned maintenance work going wrong or overrunning.

I just logged in with no problems using my card reader.

It's phone banking I have problems with.

Conflicting information, if I phone during the week about something I am told to go to a branch, if I phone at the weekend I get it done on the phone.

I don't know if anyone uses the 0800 6816368 number but that now just seems to give information about their travel insurance and hangs up on you.

I had identical problems last week. It appears that when I use my Ipad, that is when the error message appears. I now use my PC for Nationwide and have had no further problems. Just tried my Ipad again just out of curiosity, and still can't access it. Hope this helps.
