Budget beauty products

I'm really into nail polish at the moment. I've tried Essie but prefer Rimmel Pro Polishes with Lycra - these are the best for not chipping and lots of offers on them in Boots and Superdrug.
I like Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. It used to be £6.99 but now it's £8.99. I get mine from Wilkinson's when it's £4.99 - I usually buy two. MUA and Elf Eye Primers are great when worn with their eye shadows. I agree with Collection Concealer. Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer is a good dupe for YSL Touch! Eclait. I liked the Lacura one from Aldi even better but you can't seem to get it now.0 -

A few things I rate are
MUA
I really like the eye primer. It's not UDPP quality but for £2.50 it keeps my makeup on at work all day http://www.superdrug.com/mua-makeup-academy/mua-pro-base-eye-primer/invt/589653#readReview
Also their fixing mist http://www.superdrug.com/mua-makeup-academy/mua-pro-base-fixing-mist/invt/580251?source=179_75#readReview is £5 I actually like this as much as the urban decay fixing spray which is £19.50. I think I am going to stick to this and save the money
Also worth looking at superdrug online brand makeup revolution
Nivea
Very cheap and I really like their express hydration primer. It's a moisturiser really but great base for makeup and you can get it on offer for £2.50

totally agree.......i am a total convert to MUA these days - i will say i do prefer some of the more expensive brands like benefit and urban decay for going out but MUA does perfectly for work0 -
I've tried a number of cleansers, in a range of prices and I can honestly say the best one I've used is Anne French cleansing milk. It's about £4 for 200ml and comes in a sensitive skin formula as well as a regular one.
It takes off every scrap of makeup easily, including the most stubborn waterproof mascara, and you'll be surprised at how much dirt comes off your face, even when you're not wearing makeup.
I love the smell as well, it's like an orange blossom-type fragrance.0 -
I swear by the Collection felt tip eyeliner, it has a perfect tip and doesn't dry out as quick as some of the more expensive ones.
For cleanser I use Johnsons Baby Softwash, it takes everything off, even mascara.
At the moment I'm using Lidl anti-wrinkle moisturiser, nothong wrong with that at all.
I gave up on expensive shampoos ages ago and now use the Alberto Balsam shampoo and conditioners, £1 a go and lots of flavours to choose from. I like the coconut one, my daughter likes the fruity ones, the boys get what they're given

Yes! Bought it on a whim once and thought it was brilliant!
I usually use No 7 and they recently bought out a similar product, but it's awful! Collection eyeliner is definately a good bargain buy.
For my hair I use V05 products (the ones in the bright pink packaging) which you can usually pick up in the supermarket/Wilkinsons cheaply or on offer.
The best products I have found for my skin are from the Garnier Naturals range. Not the cheapest, but can usually be found on special offer in the major retailers. I have oily skin so use the pink grapefruit and pomegranate daily face wash, oil controlling moisturiser and I pack their facial wipes if I go away. They also do a really good make-up remover which is just like a face wash but you can use it on your eyes too.0 -
What a useful thread!
I love Olay original and also the Lacura range, especially the serum. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
I've not used them for a while, but in the past I got quite a bit of stuff, some good, some not so good:

(they often have special discounts, codes etc as well)0 -
Hopping on the MUA bandwagon, I love their blushes. I think they're only about £1 and I find I'm always reaching for them.
Coconut oil, as mentioned, is brilliant for everything.
Queen Helene Mint Julip mask (I get mine from herb)is a brilliant, really cheap clay face mask.No more goo hoarding!

What do people use coconut oil for? I used it on my face, but I found it very greasy.0

I always check-out Poundland for shampoo and hair products - picked up some really good bargains.0
