I am currently using ADSL24 http://adsl24.co.uk/index.php - they offer a nice range of packages at good prices, and their customer service is excellent. I sent an email to them when i had a question - they called me to discuss things within half an hour - at 9.30 at night ! And - the person calling was an actual technician - not just someone trained to sit at the desk - he actually knew what he was talking about. Superb.

Connection/routing/ping are all highly rated. I came from AOL and will not be going back !

They also have a really good community on their forum http://adsl24.co.uk/forum/ if you have any general questions.
    Hope that helps.

    Ok, here is the deal.

Go to www.samknows.com then go to avaiability checker, put your post code and phone number in, go to locality and see how far are you from your exchange, if more than 1.2 km, than stay where you are or move to something under BT datastream broadband, because you can't get high speed anyway. But if the distance is less than 1.2 you will possibly getting really fast broadband connection.

If it's the latter case, I would suggest www.bethere.co.uk 24meg, 15 with data limit 25 with no limit. I am getting 20 meg, and I downloaded Vista for less than 20 mins. (basically really really fast)

My AOL service expired a fortnight ago. Trouble is I aint paid my BT phone bill for six months and they cut me of, but kept my broadband going. Thing is I was thinking about going for this Tiscali broadband with free telephone line rental and calls, but I realy wanted a new laptop. Both PC world and now as it would seem AOL are launching Free Laptop deals with their broadband packages, obviously AOL being the better deal (because the laptops are Dell). I was just wondering if carphone warehouse (AOL) were doing a phone line rental and free calls with the laptop deal, so I can sell my old laptop and pay off BT, but still keep my phone line? seeing as BT are a bunch of

You can't make statements like that! Distance is not everything, line attenuation and signal to noise ratio are much more important and these will depend on the age, quality and type of line (overhead or underground) used from the exchange to the property.
