Long story short.
New shower cubicle installed Sept/Oct 2011.
Aug 2013 metal roller on door breaks in two.
Return broken roller to shop who says will order new set but as we'd had it two years out of guarantee
Contact shop several times and nothing other than supplier charging them £44
Beg Apr 2014 back to shop. Oh dear forgot to chase supplier will do it now. Supplier has no record of order but will do it now.
9 May I email shop and giving them till end of May 2014 to fit new rollers or if not possible new doors (copied Sale of Goods Act esp 'durability'.
As far as I was aware no response.
Yesterday (29th) sent letter enclosing email and extending time to 16 June 2014 or would get someone else in and go to Small Claims Court for reimbursement. Letter was sent 'Signed for'.
Received email today with attachment of email sent to me on 9/5. I don't know why but I didn't receive that email.
Anyway gist was 'you had shower cubicle over three years, parts have been in couple of weeks, fitter (original one) is away until 17/6 and we will arrange to come out to rectify as soon as he (the fitter) is available/in the area. The shop is only 7 miles away.
Where do we stand any help would be appreciated.
