BT cancelled appointment

Hi all,

I ordered a landline and broadband from BT some 4 weeks ago for a new build house and the proposed date for install was today between 8am and 1pm.

Yesterday at 1pm, I received a called to advise me that they wouldn't be attending. However, I had already taken the day off and couldn't change the day off at that late stage. They offered 10 quid, which I refused.

Can I claim days loss of earnings?

Thanks.

Thank yourself lucky that they actually called you to cancel! Service is just awful.

No you can't-there is no contract to cover consequential loss.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
