Talk Talk almost get something right.

After leaving TT within the 30 day grace period from being informed of a price rise it looks like they might, for the first time in a long time, have got something almost right :rotfl:

I've been awaiting my final bill which I should have received notification of 2 days ago but I didn't get the usual e-mail telling me my bill was ready however, when I checked my account today it shows contract breakage fee, contract breakage fee waiver (cancel each other out), essentials package reversal and line rental reversal giving a grand total of -£9 however, I need to phone them to arrange the refund - why they don't simply make the refund to my DD which is still open, as per their instruction, is beyond me but I'll give it until after the due date before phoning them. I almost can't be bothered with the hassle for £9 but, as I say, look after the pennies and the pounds shall look after themselves.

    I rang talk talk to get a mac code as I liked the look of the Ee telephone and broadband offer with £100 voucher but asked about their £40 love to shop voucher on mse site and if they would give me that if I stayed with them and was told yes just go into My account, so I did and he asked if I had found it on there and I said no I couldn't find it and he made me wait while he asked his supervisor and after nearly 20 minutes on the phone and a lot of messing me about he then said it was no longer available so I could not have it after all
    I gave up and phoned back later for my mac code and was offered a better deal than I am on now and would have taken it if they had not messed me about with the promise of the voucher and then refusing it
    I thought my contract ran out tomorrow but I have been receiving repeated calls from 0116 242 1980 who are talk talk trying to get me to sign up to faster broadband/TV even though I keep telling them I am not interested but they tell me my years line rental runs out on 3rd June so I have to ring again to check that as I don't want to get hit with early termination charges
    I am very annoyed with talk talk for the way they have messed me about plus they have missed out on new custom as a relative is looking to move from Bt and says he will move to who I am with as he knows I look for the best deal

    babyj13, I was a phone only customer with them for 4 years and the service was cheap and blooming good with lots of free extras, I did have a couple of small issues but these were sorted out amicably.

    However, since I went with them for BB 6 months ago at wich time I lost some of the perks of my phone only deal :mad: I've had lots of issues and all of them have taken a lot of time and effort to resolve so the opportunity to exit my contract early, penalty free was a godsend although as I've posted elsewhere, I did not expect my final bill to be in my favour and tbh, until it is finalised I still won't be surprised if they beggar something up.

    No money of mine will ever go to that awful company again.
