Abbey completely messed up my ISA transfer, what do I do!?

Tried to transfer my ISA to Abbey (started process in April...)
As far as I can work out they requested my existing funds (which were transferred 3 weeks ago and account closed by my old bank) but havent opened up a new ISA account for me.
I have no idea where my money is, or why they still hadn't opened the new account for me... I tried phoning a week ago and spent 2 hours in the branch at the weekend trying to get help, but all they will tell me is that they dont know what is wrong and can only ask glasgow isa centre to look into it as soon as possible. Meanwhile I have still heard nothing.
Does anyone know what I can do next to get some help or info - these are my life savings so i am really starting to panic now!!

I am in the same situation. Tried to transfer ISA from Natwest to Barclays. Account closed by Natwest on 29th of May, money did not appear at the Barclays. Barclays keeps telling me that they are looking into my complain. Absolutely useless. Anyway after 4 weeks of waiting I went to Natwest and asked about the cheque they issued to Barclays. They said that cheque was not cashed in, so I asked them to cancel cheque and reopen ISA at Natwest. They canceled cheque and I am now waiting for Natwest to open my ISA again. I am waiting for 2 weeks now, but at least I know where the money is.0

It doesn't surprise me. My son and I started a transfer on 10th April from Halifax to Abbey. Abbey made so many mistakes with my son's transfer - lost his application form, sent out 2 Abbey cards, some mistake with the transfer form etc. With mine they supposedly sent 2 requests to Halifax - Halifax say that they never received any.
Every time you tried to contact them meant at least 40 minutes holding on the phone - even the branch could not get through!
We gave up on 24th June and told Abbey to cancel the transfer. We also told Halifax not to allow any transfer from Abbey to go through.
Meanwhile i have also written to their complaints department. It took them 2 weeks to even reply to that letter to say they would look into it. The ISA centre have not even replied to our letters telling them to cancel the transfer!
Here is the complaints department if you want it.
