Aesop sorry to hear about the redundancy. I keep dreaming it will happen to me i would get a massive (in my world) pay out but in reality I think it would scare the hell out of me. Good luck, hope you did not like the job to much, the redundancy package is a good one and this gives you the opportunity to move forward to something better.

I am not part of the grocery challenge maybe I should be I have reduce my weekly spend from £75 to £50 a week I was 59p over today but that included 1.5 fathers present. I would like to include my coupons for this month as up to a week ago the coupons where at home whilst I was shopping:rotfl:

    Advice please

    Hi all
got told yesterday I am being made redundant.
so today took some of my liked people from the office to the pub for a redundancy drink :D
might as well, I am not going to sit and fight for a job when I can see the writing is on the wall ;)
going to think about my options now but even more so need to sell my [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] treasure.

Aw Aesop - what a shame :( You have my every sympathy as it happened to me about 20 months ago and know it's a shock to the system. I hope you will get a good redundancy package - I didn't - but even so now, looking back, things have actually turned out better. So hope the same for you and look forward to hearing your new plans and gains. The very best of luck.

Maybe the 2014 Frugal Challenge. I don't know how to post a direct link but I'm sure someone on here will be along to give you some advice - or you can try punting about on the search box. Good Luck

I made £12 today on a MS after taking out my expenses.

Hope you all have a super Saturday

    Morning all,

Its been a hectic couple of weeks at work, but I worked 60+ hours overtime which will equate to an extra two weeks wages roughly. I dont count it for this challenge but it will certainly come in handy!

The down side is that it hasnt given me much time to do my usual jobs / personal admin so ive just caught up with the thread. Sorry to hear your news Aesop i hope things resolve themselves quickly and it turns into a positive for you. Also hello to all the newbies.

I havent had much chance to make extra dosh, but i did get £120 cashback that ive been waiting for since jan and I saved £58.38 on some bits and a rather large purchse in boots. I dont usually shop there but I got some birthday money to put towards an electrical item ive wanted for a while and it was cheapest at boots, so whilst i felt guilty about spending a lot of money, it had been given as a birthday treat and once ive finished with it I intend to sell it on ebay. I wont count them til I spend them on christmas presents but ive now got £52 worth of points!

Hope you all have a great weekend, im off to catch up on the other threads with a cup of tea.

I am so sorry I've been MIA this week. It has been a busy week with work, dentist, giving notice to get married, ferrying the cats to the vets and just generally being tired! But all the challengers have been updated - it is really wonderful to see so many of you.

Does anyone have the "June itch"? Maybe it is because I've just cleared my debts, but I'm feeling very "meh" about making money. I've still done a ton of Pcone surveys and I've got things on eBay thanks to autorelist, and Quidco thanks to things I've done in the past. But I'm completely out of motivation.

Congrats on your future nuptuals emma,

A couple more things from me, £3.50 off fuel using a coupon and £15 of change sorted and paid in. I love counting my change jars so much that it horrifies me when i see the coin star machines...... What let a machine take a cut for counting my money for me? No chance :):)

    Hello everyone,

I liberated some unwrapped ladies' Venus razor blade refill things from my bathroom cupboard and exchanged them for a £15 Sains gift voucher today. I know without doubt they would have languished until they were outdated or something before I did this challenge!

Have added 95p for nectar points earned, some were given to me by man in front, some from using my own carriers and some boosted with a double points on fuel voucher.

Oh my, what has happened to me :)
