Premier park ltd ?

Options
Received a penalty notice of £100 as i forgot to put a parking ticket on!

Yes, my fault but how can they justify a £100 charge?

Does anyone have any experience of what will happen if i ignore it?

Why will happen is hard to say. What could happen however; lots of threatening letters, court action, a CCJ etc etc.

I assume you are in England or Wales but please correct me if that assumption is wrong.

The ticket can be appealed with relative ease. Please read the Newbies sticky thread at the top of the forum to fully understand the steps you need to take. The first stage is to appeal directly to Premier Park, who will probably reject your appeal. You then appeal to POPLA who are an independent appeals body. This appeal is easily winnable. It is important that you know what to expect so I cannot stress enough how important it is to read the Newbies sticky thread. It will take some time to understand and digest but it is worth it. You will find that members of the forum will be willing to offer a lot more help and support if you have put some leg work in yourself.

Months and months of hassle from debt collectors and a possible small claims court appearance (which can be instigated at any time in the next six years), other than that, not much else!

Or, you can go to the NEWBIES sticky (top of the forum index, one page back from here) and get yourself up to speed and in the mood to take this on.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Our best advice is summarised in the NEWBIES sticky thread. Read it and then follow the instructions.

And a few dates would help us decide what stage of the cycle you are in.

OK. Now we can help you, but none of the regulars will until you have read the NEWBIES thread at the top of the forum and then come back with what you think you should do.

Sorry to appear harsh - but I am not, really. The NEWBIES thread is a great guide to what to do and anything we can say will already have been included there.

When you have read it and come back prepared, we cab guide you through the process, but you can see how many active threads we have on the go and to start every one from stage 1 is just too much effort - hence c-m wrote the NEWBIES thread.

Good thing is you have stacks of time. Oh, and who was th PPC and was it a window ticket or a NtK through the post? (NEWBIES thread has a glossary)

    It was a window ticket.

After reading the linked post i just mentioned, i am prepared to ignore it as a few people said it will cost more for them to collect the debt.

Who, in any post you have read, said to ignore them because it will cost more to collect?

Yes, the general advice is to ignore a windscreen ticket and wait for a notice to arrive through the post, but this has nothing to do with cost of recovery.

Yup ignore everything. This will probably be a self ticketing exercise. However remember if it is private land and the landowners do have the right to ask you not to park if you have no business there. However they don't have the right to recover anything but a loss!

Wow, you are taking advice from a thread that is nearly 3 years old? The law changed quite dramatically in 2012.

Please actually read the Newbies sticky thread.
