Thank you!
Just checked my balance today and got really excited when I thought my daily interest had reduced from £42.16 a day at the start to £35.11 which is the difference between yesterday and today's balance, then remembered I OPd £4.81 yesterday - oops!
Actual interest added is £39.92 so under £40 for the first time - whoop whoop!
£50 OPd today from last weekend's Gumtree sales so £54.81 this month.
Selling something on eB@y with £35 bid and 7 watchers, finishes on Monday, fingers crossed.1 -
Great going! :T And good luck with the eBaying
I've loved reading about your new home, I live in cityville Thames Valley and would love to head out into the country, I shall have to live variously through you until then
PS. Quiche chat of a while ago - spoons of pesto with a variety of veg eg. Peppers, peas, courgette etc. you could grill/roast some of the veg beforehand. Experiment - you never know what might work!a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library1 -
Thanks PM, will give that a try
I lived in the Thames Valley until moving here.
Just got a load of frozen drumsticks out to cook up for salads during the week and going to do fish pie for dinner - more stuff out of freezer :T
My mum is going to come up next weekend and help me to sort out clothes, food, kitchen stuff so I can have a really good clear out. I am in danger of becoming a hoarder and I need someone to motivate / challenge me.
My ideal would have been for my sister to come up as she is far more ruthless and mum will probably take half of what I chuck home with her :rotfl: but I'm so relieved to have some help.
So hopefully more eb@y listing next weekend1 -

Be careful what you wish for, I may arrive like a kind of brutal fairy godmother, to whisk away all your out of date bread flour. Great work on the mortgage kiddo. Xx1 -
Ha ha, I definitely need someone to sort me out / not take any excuses.1

Hmph, roofer has let us down so we are back to square one. Not ideal trying to find a roofer in summer, may not get the work done until next year now.
Got work booked next month to fit a bellcast and french drain to help deal with damp so at least something is moving forward. Just need to find a skip which can be delivered to our house (small lane, narrow gate).
Sold my stuff on eBay for £62 but buyer can't pay until next Monday  Will open a NPB if she doesn't pay then and offer second chance to next bidder.
£10.50 and £2.29 from £co and TCB to be paid out and hopefully sold something on Gumtree for £8, being collected today. All goes towards the OPs :T1
