HL exemplary service

This is turning into a BA versus Ryanair thread.
You pay your money and you make your choice
I must admit I enjoy club class
Given my experiences with HL, I think a more accurate comparison is the one a posted a couple of months back about HL aspiring to Waitrose levels of pricing while providing sub-Aldi standards of service.
I'm sure HL shares are a good investment while they provide a 200% profit margin on turnover, I'm perfectly happy for 70% of HL's customers fees to be going straight to shareholders, like Grey Gym Sock and myself (even if in my case its only through tracker funds).
I thank you for the money you're throwing in my direction. So we're both happy

I thought, !!!!!! this, and sent them a secure message asking if they have any way of getting it to me without me doing any of the work.
Just one hour later, I'm staring at a spreadsheet of every transaction, in and out, for all three of my accounts since they were opened, and a word document containing the same in case that's more convenient for me.
ozzage
I have asked HL for a excell/csv file, but they keep pointing me towards the website and telling me to use the 6 month report tool. So I would have to run a dozen or so reports to get the complete picture.
Could you advise what your report was called?

It's strange that HL share price is powering back to recent highs - doesn't make sense to me. Must be investors desperate for any sort of return, buying into any dip they see!0

Those who commit the heinous crime of asking to leave and then follow that process through tend to be the ones treated to bad customer service. Presumably those who try to wriggle out of ongoing platform fees in other ways, such as dying, might leave a similar problem for their executors and heirs. What did you do to bring that on yourself? We've always found them excellent. (Mind you, so in their way are Aldi.)0 -
I agree with joerugby - its horses for courses - It is also worth pointing out that for some people HL can actually be the cheaper option!
For me they are quite probably the cheapest - bar none - it depends on a lot of factors, for instance how often you trade and which funds you invest in. In my case it helps that I have negotiated a lower % rate than their standard 0.45% but I also am also currently taking advantage of a number of their discounted funds - perhaps I will even buy into Neil Woodford's new venture at an annual rate of 0.6%

So, what do you calculate your total fees to be across your HL portfolio?I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

0.25% on quite a big portfolio - however I trade funds a lot - meaning even a £5/transaction charge works out more.0 -
0.25% including fund (etc.) fees and platform fees is very good. Well done! What did HL come down to? I hadn't previously seen anyone getting them below 0.25%, at least not that I can remember.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television.
