Why; because Lloyds used to pay 4% upto £7k but you had to have 2 DD's on the A/c. When they dropped it to 3% on £5k they removed the need to have 2 DD's but since they were only going to my own Tasco's Saving A/c's I never got around to removed them and maybe incase / hope the rate / limit would rise again and the need for DD's re-instated......they are only for £1 each.
OK I see. I had the same deal on my Vantage accounts, but since the requirement was simply to 'set them up', not pay them, I never used them.

Just setting them up again now for my upcoming change to Club (my other 2 Vantage accounts will be closed).

For the new club account the 2 DD need to be used now, and not just set up it seems. So i will have to open a tesco saving account and have the interest paid there.

Just in case you meant Lloyds will pay interest into your Tesco account: they won't. You could transfer it there yourself but there might be better places than a Tesco savings account for the interest from the Lloyds account.

I read it that roxy28 would pull the interest out by DD, thereby killing two birds with one stone (like many of us do with the Halifax Reward payments). :)

Dam, I thought I had had a stoke of genius by adding DD's to my 3 Vantage accounts and switching them for the bonuses. But it looks like everyone is doing it :rotfl:

I was going to switch my FlexDirect, but decided that might be a bad idea as it could cancel the free travel insurance on my FlexAccount if Nationwide thought I was leaving them, so a spare Vantage account seems more appropriate. I've not added any DDs as I don't think the switch requires them, so just added a single SO.
