I've not bothered with my sky+ for a long time now & stuff has just collected. This applies to leading through the update.
Anyway i just went on to the planner now to finally catch up on stuff & programs i know for 100% sure were there now aren't. Things that were listed as viewed aren't viewed anymore.
Did anyone else experience similar with the update?

If the hard drive filled up to 100% it'll start deleting viewed stuff, is this what has happened?0

I'm not aware of any such issues with the update, which was really just cosmetic changes to the EPG.JustAnotherSaver wrote: »Did anyone else experience similar with the update?
As almillar says above, check that your your hard drive isn't full and that series links aren't causing old recordings to be deleted.
Might also be an idea to reboot the decoder.0 -
If the program has definitely recorded check the deleted program's list as once you delete something it just sits in there until it fills up then automatically gets rid. If the planners too full it will automatically delete stuff and deposit them in the deleted section. You can normally pull quite a bit back from there.0

Something is not right since the update. We are finding some recorded programs are not viewable,. Its just a blue screen. Also getting a few that are recorded but when you view them only a couple of mins have actually recorded. We never had any issues before the update.0

The blue screen could be that your recording is not part of your subscription (for example you have recorded Sky1HD but don't have an HD subscription, or you record a channel you don't subscribe to).
Another common problem with failed recordings is that the coaxial feeds are not plugged in properly. Try unplugging these from the back of the box, ensure the F-connectors are tightly screwed on and re-attach carefully.
If this fails your best bet would be to call or email Sky.0 -
You are fixating on the update, but the Blue Screen recording error has been reported before and it just sounds like you have a fault with your box.Something is not right since the update. We are finding some recorded programs are not viewable,. Its just a blue screen.
If none of the other suggestions in this thread apply then you'll need to contact Sky or a repair agent. I think the recent update is irrelevant.0 -
It's always a good idea to reboot a Sky Digibox after any firmware update. You haven't stated that you tried that.0
-
A re-boot is more likely to be required as the unit has not been in use for some time. Again, I think the recent update has not caused this fault.Moneymaker wrote: »It's always a good idea to reboot a Sky Digibox after any firmware update.0 -
Thanks for the info.
The thing was low on storage space but it shouldn't have been almost full. Still, i suppose that's what has happened. I've lost loads of stuff i wanted to keep

A PVR is designed for time-shifted viewing. Archive recordings should be ported to a more suitable recording device (DVD etc)JustAnotherSaver wrote: »I've lost loads of stuff i wanted to keep
