It's only for 1 week, all inclusive though. That would be the price for 2 adults if we can get away with it.No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -

We wouldn't even dream of taking the 12 year old out of school under normal circumstances but since we had the October holiday booked for school holidays, and then having to change it, and neither myself or my husband can get off in July or August during school holidays, it was initially changed to the only time we could go with no trouble from the school due to the circumstances.
Current update re First Choice saga, I called again tonight as the manager still hadn't phoned me back. It has been put on our record that she called me at 1707 today when she didn't, no missed calls, no messages, and no received calls, and my phone was beside me as I was sitting at he kitchen table while the dinner was cooking!
I asked if it is possible to remove an adult from the booking and just one adult and one child travelled. That is possible however we would lose the price for the adult (expected) and also the discounted child place so we would have to pay £191 more for just the two of us to go!!! On top of booking independently.
Does anyone know what would happen if suddenly one of us couldn't travel on the day of the flight and just didn't turn up at the airport? Would they try and charge extra then?
If 1 person didn't turn up they'd just be classed as a no show, never know anyone been charged extra especially when all inclusive as they will be saving the hotel money.0 -
I know others have suggested it but not sure if you have done it yet, but have you called the hotel and asked them personally if you can get a room or add an extra person? They are often a lot more lenient with it than first choice.
Who are you flying with? Can you not get him on your flight? Package holiday flights often still have lots of flight only passengers on board. I presume if it's first choice it will be a thomson flight, so look at the Thomson Fly website and see if you can get him a seat.Lea

Hi all. I did type a reply last night but it seems that the forums had a glitch and it didn't post!
Popped into the travel agents yesterday afternoon for advice as that manager from First choice still hadn't called me back (and still hasn't) although when I called them on Thursday night it was on record that she had tried to call me at 1707. Erm, no she didn't as my phone was sitting beside me!!
Anyway, woman in stores as really helpful and went through every option possible, covering everything I'd either thought of or that people suggested on this thread. The upshot we decided was to get him a flight with us and book extra accommodation independently. I've managed to get him on the same flights and I booked through venere (getting quidco cash back) for 2 people in a room. It means that I have an extra adult booked in resort but figured it might be less hassle when we get here! I've got a friend now looking to see if she can get time off work and come with us to jest hat extra place and she just has to pay her flight!
All in all it has cost us extra but we feel that it's better than losing all the money we paid and having nothing to show for it.
For their (lack of) customer service alone I will never use first choice or anyone else in the TUI group again though, extremely disappointed. No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000
