Haven't used my card for a couple of years. Does it cost the same to load it up with, say, a 1000 Euros regardless of where you do the loading eg at Tescos, Travelex, Cooks etc etc?

Edit: Also, are there any charges I should be aware of?

They each have their own version. So you top it up as per the rules of that particular card.

Where did you originally buy it from ?

if you had money on there before but havent used it on over a year you will be charged a fee ( money taken off any balance on card )

if it was empty you will not be charged any extra to reload the card

If its bought from Tesco, you can only reload it in Tesco bureaux.
Most of the smaller stores that have a bureaux will have the same rate - we're 1.1808 today but if you have a clubcard, theres £5 off for every £500 you spend which tips the rate to just over 1.19

Thanks for your input but have just been on to Travelex who confirmed that the card, which was bought at Tesco, can be reloaded at Tesco, or via Internet Banking, or over the phone with Travelex themselves.

Bang on here though. With my clubcard got 1.191 which was better than Travelex. The £5 off with clubcard deal finishes on Monday!

I meant as in you can't do it with other retailers of Cash Passports ie Sainsburys, Asda, Thomas Cook, Co-Op. The section about reloading over the phone and online is the user guide you got in the envelope alongside the card.
