Virgin Media Pixelation

Need some advice before I make a decision I may regret.
Long story short i have problems with my virgin media reception. Randomly throughout the day and on recordings the picture will pixelate and freeze for a second. It can be of varying degrees of severity and on various channels including kids, entertainment news etc.
I've had five engineer visits during which they've replaced my box three times, checked the signal and the cables inside and outside the house and changed the cables in the local junction box.
Theyve passed it to the network team who confirm they can see nothing wrong either.
Virgin are offering to let me out of my contract penalty free and without notice which I don't really want to do cause I love virgin and don't want to return to sky.
So the question is could this be a problem with my TV set? I don't see how it can be but need to know before I commit to cancelling.

Easiest way to find out if it is your TV is to try another TV.0

I'm pretty much certain that freezing and pixellation cannot be caused by your TV unless you have a faulty HDMI cable or connector.
If it's an analogue connection - scart or RGB etc - then it certainly won't be the TV. You could even do a short term trial with an analogue connector if you have one and both boxes support it - if you still get freezing then it's VM's fault.0 -

Tbh I have another box upstairs which occasionally does the same so find it unlikely its the set or hdmi cable....just bummed that I'm going to have to switch from virgin0 -
I've had cable BB but never took the TV. I do know that my neighbour switched to Sky because he said the TV was poor but I don't know if he meant the content or quality of the pictures and wasn'tinterestedenough at the time to get him to go into details.
I just use Freesat at home and Freeview at my holiday caravan. I did have Sky TV when the children were at home but found it took far too long to find there was sod all I was interested in watching.0 -
I love Virgin and really don't want to go back to Sky but if Virgin are saying there's nothing they can do then what choice do I have?
I also have my bb and phone with them and never have any issues with either.0 -
We had this too, after two box swaps they put a signal booster in and we've had no problems since.Bulletproof0

Could it be caused by noise on the mains electric? Do you have an old boiler or freezer which can generate electrical noise when switching on/off?0

Update to this situation.
Had an engineer fit a booster but that didn't help. Have now had a supervisor out who took one look at my cabling outside and told me it all needed replacing and that they'll upgrade it at the same time.
He pointed out that connectors were above ground when they shouldn't be which is all good but how come the multitude of engineers who have visited didn't see this as an issue?0
