I understand what you mean OP, I'm in a similar situation. I am retaking my GCSES in September and I'm hoping to go on a pre - university course designed for mature students. I am 25 and I feel stuck in rut in terms of work, purely because I am not qualified enough for well paid jobs, but I'm dedicated to getting out of this position I'm in and really improve my life and become someone who is happy with their working life.

How old are you OP? If you're my age (younger or older) you could still go back to education? Have you thought about that? Are you female or male?

"I know I am good at digital marketing, SEO, raising brand awareness, content creation etc"

No offense intended but you failed to make a success of a business you ran for four years, so being good at something doesn't always make you successful at it.

It was a while ago now, and i'm just not convinced that it's something that's gonna cut any ice when it comes to job interviews...:rotfl:

    I'm 29. I'm male.
I don't think education is a realistic option. I love the idea of doing some sort of short course that will give me a 'marketable skill' that will lead to a job, though/
    Just don't know what.....

Well, I disagree with you there, and fortunately, so does the government.

I'd say that it's the government's role to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to be able to care for themselves, and that those who cannot are taken care of.

If someone chooses simply not to bother, then the government has no obligation to do any more than keep them breathing.

Even Marx was agreed on this point "He that does not work, neither shall he eat" was, I believe, the gist of his views on the subject of people who won't participate to the best of their ability.

Well done, on missing out the last part of the sentence in my post.....

I think it is clear that Morgansedge (as well as many other people) is trying to find work. He is bothering.

    Try again, Bill
