moving to eire with O2 mobile contract

Hi
I wonder if anyone has any suggestions.
Im tied into an O2 contact at £35 month ( its on a rebate deal through e2save)
Im thinking about moving to ireland and wonder whats best to do with this?
I have another 12 months or so left on the contact and am considering just giving the sim card to my mum to use making sure to claim the cashback on it that bring the cost down to £20 per month that I'll have to pay.
I'm sure the free minutes and texts with be useless over there but wondered if anyone else has any other suggestions. I f i change the tariff I'll forfit the cash back I think.
Any one have any ideas?
Thanks
