TalkTalk price rise - best way to change package

I have the Essentials TalkTalk phone and ADSL package, on a half-price deal, due to end in September. This does not include video. I did not receive the price rise notification, sent out in March. It has not been mis-categorised as spam, AFAIK, so I found out about it today in a billing notification.
I want to end up in a situation where I have the Simply Broadband package, ideally at the price it was in March, when I would have switched had I known about the impending increase.
What is the best way to achieve this? I am going deaf.
Is there a TalkTalk rep on this forum?

They'll swear that you've been informed either by letter or by e-mail and, to be fair you should have.
I got my price rise e-mail on the 26th April which was quite late by all accounts. I arranged to switch from the TT phone and broadband essentials package - I was still in contract until September but, there is the clause that due to the price increase you can leave early with no penalties, to a similar package albeit without evening calls, with Plusnet and have never been so happy. If I was paying more I couldn't care less as the service with TT was abysmal whereas the service with PN is superb, in any case I'm paying £9 p/month less and use my mobile for any evening calls I wish to make and, as I pay £7.50 p/month for my mobile contract but rarely used to use the minutes I'm not incurring any further charges so am still £9 p/month better off and with a company that gives great CSLive long and prosper0
