I read most of the commentators prior to the float...mostly neutral or negative, very few positive.
I used to work with Paul Pester in a previous life, and I had a good chat to my bank mgr the day before applications closed, and me being a contrarian type of chap applied for £11k.
Only got £4000 odd as oversubscribed.
Happy to hold.0 -
Sold out too. Didn't expect such a good first days premium.0

I'm leaving mine there, it was only a bit of money that was lying around in cash, so it wasn't exactly as if that bit of money was working hard before.IANAL etc.0

Is your holding part of a balanced equity portfolio ?0 -
A good question Thrugelmir and I do take your point. I would say that this deal has added some diversification, but I am unlikely to purchase more banking shares. I would certainly consider selling if they reach a certain price point, but this was a considered purchase for me, and so far this has achieved what I had hoped. I'm sorry that some posters were swayed by the negative comments in the press and missed out on a quick win, as with many things the press has it's own agenda.0

I bought my £2k worth through X-O. Looking at selling page and I see a couple of things I don't really understand.
What does 'Settlement Offset' mean and why does it have the options: 3, 5, 10 or 20 days?
Order Type: Good Through or Stop Loss. I can guess but I'm not sure what this means?
Limit Price: Combined with the above option I can have a stab at what it means but I would appreciate a clarification.
Any help will be much appreciated! But please don't tell me off for 'playing' on the stock market when I clearly don't know what I'm doing!0
