My company issued me with a Motorola ES400 PDA (on o2) I work in the field therefore am constantly updating the company system but could never get on with it so it was assigned to the cupboard for the past 2yrs+. Since then I've been using my iPhone4 (T-mobile) which does the job OK.
I fancy getting a Tablet and using it mainly to replace the company issued device, mainly because they have a much bigger screen which should make my life easier imputing data and reading etc.
Idealy I wanted to just buy a Tablet and put the Standard size SIM card from the ES400 in it and problem sorted but No! It seems all the Tablets use the smaller SIM Cards (Can't really cut the original SIM down or exchange for Micro Card as should I leave my employment I must return the PDA & SIM intact). Hence this message to see what others may suggest.
The way I see it is, I have a couple of options but many choices.
I guess my cheapest option may be to buy a Wifi Tablet and make my iphone4 in to a personal Hotspot? Will I incur additional charges? (My current tariff gives me 1200 mins Phone, Unlimited Internet and texts - I know there will be a 'fair use' policy regarding Internet use but have never come anywhere near that).
I could simply buy a Tablet (SIM enabled) on the cheapest tarrif I can find?
For Info, I have Home Broadband / TV & Phone with Virginmedia.
Any views, advice, comments? ::)

Does your T Mobile tariff allow tethering?No free lunch, and no free laptop

According to the EE / T-mobile website I can:
To tether* with your iPhone:
Go to your iPhone's on-screen Settings >Look for Personal Hotspot. Or General > Network > Personal Hotspot
Tap on Personal Hotspot and then slide the switch to On
Then connect the iPhone to your laptop or tablet using a USB cable or Bluetooth or WiFi.
It doesn't look like there's any additional charge? Don't know what the speed will be like but at present looks like the cheapest option.......
I wonder what's the best Tablet (Don't want to spend a fortune but certainly don't want a cheap one as often buying cheap ends up buying twice).0
