Tesco Delivery - Computer failure...

Just had a call from Tesco about my delivery today due at 10:00-11:00. Apparently their system has failed and I won't be getting my delivery. They said they can't check their system for my order, but I can still see everything I ordered on my account. I would reorder for tomorrow, but a lot of the offers change tonight so I will end up paying extra. They have sent me a £10 voucher as compensation though.
Anybody else had any problems?

I think it may have been a cross infection from the Sainsburys Delivery computer failure a couple of days ago.
Expect to see Morrisons and Asda fail shortly.
Waitrose will have a very high class computer failure in due course. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
is computer failure a excuse for "sorry we got caught with our pants down and are understaffed".0

That's what I'm thinking. Not heard any reports from anybody else, and it seemed strange that they only told me 15 minutes before my expected delivery slot expired. Plus, I can still see everything I ordered on their site.0 -
They may genuinely have an issue at the store, where the goods come from. The system may be down, between HO and the store, so they cannot see your order. But you can see it on the website. Customer services would be the ones who rang you up, not the store.
They could have emailed the order to the branch though, but if they have an issue with the system, if they are out of stock of certain products, the system wouldn't allow them to reduce the bill amount.
IT goes wrong sometimes, you just have to grin and bear it, get it delivered tomorrow and you are £10 better off. Just remember to use the £10 quickly though, they seem to put a short shelf life on vouchers like that.0 -
