I don't dislike people on benefits. I dislike people who are presented with opportunities to get back into the world of work but they are just to lazy to take them.

Take whatever work is given, and when you are earning your own wages then you can start picking and choosing and looking for something you actually 'want' to do, but for now, you simply don't have the right to that luxury and refusing this course just makes you look like a lazy benefits scrounger.

How can I be a benefit scrounger when I had my money stopped until 06.06.2014 as that is when my sanction ends and I still apply for Jobs, I even had a interview on the day I should got paid but I didn't as my money stopped but I still attended the interview.

If I was just claiming Job Seekers for money then I won't have attended that interview and applying for Jobs. it just shows and proves that I am not claiming JSA just for money !!!!

Boohoo is hard work? Tell that to a friend of mine who works there. She loves it so far as I can gather. They're pretty decent with their employees.

On a side note, this is gonna be another ridiculous thread with many, many pages started by the illogical logic of gay_guy, isn't it?

But you've blatantly said you want an admin job, so are refusing anything else. Well tough !!!!, it doesn't look like anyone is going to hand you one and you've already been advised you don't have relevant experience. So what are you going to do? Continue to claim JSA for years and complain that nobody has handed you the perfect job you want?

The world doesn't work like that, and I'm sure loads of the people in the boohoo factory would rather do something else instead, but they get up and go to work everyday because that's what you need to do to pay the bills.

Get a grip, get off your bum and do whatever work you can get, NOT what you feel like.

It might not be an 'easy' as you'd like but it's work. You can then use your wages to fund yourself to do an admin course if that's what you'd like to do in the long run, and just having a job at all will improve your chances for any future jobs you apply for.

I have noticed on here that some users doesn't like people on benefits.

Even a user on Consumer Action Group stated the same. who the hell you lot think you are??

My views on benefits are well known on here, however I think most of your threads are simply trolling.

This one being a prime example.

Well he did state that its not mandatory until I have started the course which I didn't.

I dont mean to come across as bashing people on benefits because I am not, because anyone and everyone can be in a hard place where the need help of the state.

I just feel you are missing an opportunity, many people have to do things outside of there comfort zone and without forcing yourself to do things you dont want to do you the reality is you wont get anywhere.

Also with the training comes a job which will give you the freedom to pay for training to be qualified to do what you want to do whatever it may be.

I have done and do do loads of things I don't want to do, but the reality is if i didnt I wouldn't have the things and the freedom I have now.

  • To people having a go at him, I dont think that is solution. If you dont agree with benefits etc, give him advice, support and help so he doesn't need to be on benefits any more and can be self sufficient.

The existence of the benefit system is a different issue to discus in a separate thread, but the reality is it is a safety net we would all want there if we fell on hard times.
