Last reported NSD was #12 on 15th

    Since then....
16th - expected spends day (D/Debit, so did some other shopping0
    17th - NSD #13
18th - unplanned spend day (sweet tooth kicked in)
    19th - NSD #14
20th - unplanned spend day (urge for junk food kicked in after I had a call telling me my Dad had been taken to hospital with a suspected stroke. he had one 10 years ago which my Mum had to force medical attention on him for, this time he asked her to call for help. discharged that evening with 'strong aspirin'!)
21st - semi expected spend day, but not on what I expected. was at a concert, so had expected to buy something, but the prices couldn't be justified. did, however, buy a bottle of water from the supermarket across the road after discovering they were allowing us to take plastic bottles in despite a clear 'no food or drinks to be brought in' clause with the tickets.
22nd - took a trip out to C0stco to pick up some more offer items before they change in another week.

One more to hit target, but not sure when it'll be. Off out shortly to speak to someone about my laptop, as it's spent the last week continually closing itself down due to overheating :o

Hi Cheryl,I hope your dad's feeling better.

That's really annoying about your laptop, hope it gets sorted.

So...Do I use my remaining £15 spending money to buy my prescription (for something I may or may not need in the next few weeks)...or go for another NSD, which I do believe would make my target of 4 in a row ????

    A lot of nsders,myself included,don't count prescriptions as a spend,as usually they're essential.

Missed a NSD today as had to go into town on an errand for OH, and passing by the B0dy Sh0p noticed their body butters down from £13 to £5. Had some indecision about which one to buy, as in "do I want to slather myself in almond cream or chocolate?" The chocolate-scented one was the winner. So, a lost NSD but a bit of self indulgence for a change! Still a few days left to add to the total.

    A lot of nsders,myself included,don't count prescriptions as a spend,as usually they're essential.

I think that's probably the right thing to do. OH is very angry with me that I didn't get it (also been told to get some extra things over the counter that the dr didn't prescribe because they are cheaper over the counter so OH is probably right to be annoyed!)

but when I have literally £15 left for the month and an ever decreasing petrol tank gauge and milk carton, I feel like I should live through the pain a little while longer.

Literally now I've written that I realise how stupid I am sometimes. I haven't coped through the pain today - I'm a mess! How I think I'm going to cope another day I do not know. Silly girl putting this money saving before my own health and well being. So I think I'll go now and get what I clearly need! No NSD for me but hopefully a healthier T2rry will be back tomorrow for NSD Excellence!

t2rry Put health before nsds, that's for sure.Don't be too hard on yourself. Why is OH asking you to pay for items that he wants, out of your own pocket?

beanie I just don't understand how it's possible to sustain that (free prescriptions). As if the NHS is crippled enough as it is.

I think most people would be more than happy to pay to be honest.I think Wales may be free too.

    £8.05 for a prescription - I'm a little shocked!

marmite - no they were also for me (as recommended by the doctor) OH thinks I don't help myself when I'm unwell, I think of it as not making a fuss and powering through! He wins the argument today!!

So proper spendy day, even had to use the dreaded credit card! £24 on medicine, £8 on essential food & £30 on petrol. That really should do us now until the end of the month so hoping I could end with a sprint finish

    Thanks all! X
