New to comping, Do you have a system?

I started comping this time last year, however after about 3 months, my job became too hectic and i lost inspiration. i have never won anything to date. i started again about a week ago, have entered about 100 a day.

i was wondering if you guys had a system to how you comp or keep track?

i normally enter in the end date for the following day and enter every competition with an end date for the next day. so if its the 16th, i will enter every comp that ends on the 17th. then on the 17th i enter every comp that ends on the 18th. is this a bad system? would you suggest otherwise? what do you guys do? i used to just enter the comps in order no matter how far away the end date was but i kept losing track of the page numbers as more threads came in.

any tips would be appreciated! :) what are the best comps to enter, seems all my main ones are twitter as theres mainly twitter comps here, but i try to enter them all, heard RC's are the best?

    I sure do :-)
I enter comps posted via links posted on MSE.
I then forget about entering & move on.

End date comping in my opinion is a pointless exercise. If it is a random draw it will not matter when you enter plus you run the risk of the comps ending early.
    Hope that helps.

Don't worry Sax is known as being a bit grumpy and lovely ( does this mean my post will get deleted btw?)

If you have a quick search of CCC you will find a lot of threads discussing methods of comping.

most of the ways people have said they do it just didnt click with me, so thought id ask again... that was my first response on this forum though i have been a bit of a lurker for awhile, and safe to say was a very disheartening first response... ill go and have a look again, thankyou :)
i get the feeling this question has been asked a lot, so ill go and lurk and find them rather than making a new thread to it! thanx everyone :)

    hi,
I don't do end date or near end date comping as sometimes the comps finish early or they've been moved to Go to help clear the boards, I do often do about a week before run through just to make sure I've not missed any,

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72&pp=200&sort=title&order=asc&daysprune=-1

you can keep track of the comps you've entered by using the
green tick tick_v2.gif or the red cross cross_v2.gif

on the right side bottom of the ops comp posts then when you log back in again you'll see your green ticks/red crosses so you'll know you've visited them posts,
    good luck x

    Dig? Moi?

A sticky saying newbies read this first would just end up in the general sticky of stickies we have now and wouldn't get spotted.

I suppose one could request threads on the same topic be merged and thus we end up with one newbie thread, one missed phone call/parcel thread, etc
